"Location très bien aménagée et agréable à vivre, mais équipement perfectible, surtout côté cuisine (ustensiles notamment). Les photos font penser à du haut de gamme mais, quand on voit de près, la réalité n'est pas du même niveau: placage des meubles qui se décolle, électroménager vieillissant, pare-douche difficile à manoeuvrer... Nous avons également été déçus par le manque d'entretien du jardin (pas tondu, ronces sur le fil à linge). Bref, c'est quand même bien, mais ça fait vraiment cher...

"Very close to bus station which made it convenient to go into old town. Parking was convenient and easy. Bed was comfortable and room was serviced well every day. Hotel was very quiet. The only complaint was the air conditioning which was unresponsive."

"Great hotel, clean and spacious room, and very friendly staff. Helpful front desk crew and easy to communicate with front desk in English. Short walk to beach and close distance to shops downtown and old town area. Easy access to bus stations (we took the bus to old town when we didn’t want to walk). Quiet neighborhood, and very safe. Great value for cost. Would stay here again, and would highly recommend it to other families."

"I was here for 5 nights so really got the vibe of the hotel. Our first room smelled pretty bad from the sewage so we asked to move. The rooms were clean but felt a little sterile. If you don’t pay extra for the balcony you get the rooms on the inside of the building which are right next to and look into other apartments. So you don’t really get any privacy and direct sun light."

Barceló Costa Vasca

"The Barceló Costa Vasca is my go-to hotel in San Sebastián. Located in a quiet neighbourhood, it’s just a 5-minute walk from La Concha Beach (Kontxa Hondartza) and around 10 minutes by bus to the Old Town, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. The hotel is also well connected, with two bus stops directly across the road. The No. 16 bus runs every 15 minutes, providing a quick and convenient journey into the Old Town. On-site facilities include a large outdoor swimming pool and a spacious gym. However, for a Barceló hotel, I expected better maintenance around the pool. Several of the sun umbrellas were broken, which made the area look a little shabby and detracted from the overall experience. If you’re travelling by car, the hotel also offers plenty of on-site parking in a large underground car park."
