Finca la Chirita - For hikers, starry nights

In a large private estate, surrounded by trees and native plants, is this small rural house in the middle of nature. The ideal place to enjoy nature and silence.

If you want to come with 6 people, there is the possibility of also renting the old tool room, adapted (see photos). It is located 30 meters from the main house on the same property. It has its own kitchen and bathroom and can be reached by car. The added price would be € 30 a night + € 45 final cleaning. If you are interested, communicate in your request. It would be charged separately instead

It has the best views over the Teide of all of Tenerife.

An ideal reference point for walks and excursions.

The property is located in the mountains, but with the coast and the beach a short journey of 20 minutes. In the area we recommend San Marcos Beach or the natural ponds of Garachico.

Complimentary wood for the fireplace is offered with the delivery of the house, and more can be ordered, against a fee.

We had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous house and area! Lovely and remote, with a stunning view of the Teide. House has all you need and is located within driving distance from all types of hikes, beaches, etc. We really fell in love with the landscape… Contact with the owners was also kind and smooth! Nice authentic house

We stayed 10 days in this nice house, and had a great time. The house has a nice quiet location and a great view of the Teide volcano. The fireplace helped to warm the cool evenings of February. The North coast of Tenerife is very beautiful with lots of lush vegetation and colorful flowers,.even in February. Be prepared for some mist coming from the ocean, but this moisture helps the vegetation. Erica and Maria were very helpful with the small problems we had.

A garden with a view

Spent a week at La Chirita for a bird-watching holiday as a couple in our early 60's. The cottage is on the rustic side, but contains everything that you need for a comfortable self-catering holiday. The jewel in the crown is the location amongst the trees, in the foothills of the pinebelt, with a large, private, wild 'garden' full of native plants/flowers, and birds - canaries dominate, but there are also flyby's of both local pigeons, amongst other endemics. The view of El Teide is fantastic, in an ever-changing skyscape, in which it is occasionally obscured. You could just sit there all day. We bought the Crossbill Nature Guide book, which added greatly to our enjoyment and appreciation of the island, as it includes suggested routes both to drive and hike, not just for us birdwatchers. Shopped in local panaderias for packed lunches. All in all, a great week - easy, no problems, everyone very friendly. Thank you for sharing your lovely property.

Wonderful

Für uns war das Super, aber man muss sich darüber im Klaren sein, dass dies eine einfache Hütte ist und kein 4Sterne Hotelzimmer. Die Lage ist traumhaft, super ruhig mitten im Grünen. Die Strasse ist de facto nicht befahren und ebenfalls entsprechend ruhig. Den einen Punkt Abzug gab es für den starken Rauchgeruch aus dem offenen Kamin. Das kann man nicht verhindern, muss man aber auch wissen. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und können die Hütte für Ruhesuchende nur sher empfehlen.

Totale Enttäuschung

Leider eine furchtbare Erfahrung. Die Heizung war kaputt - bei 5 Grad und Regen. Dafür gab es etwas klammes Holz für 30 Euro. Das brannte kaum und hat die Hütte komplett voll gequalmt - warm war es dann immer noch nicht. Auf Anfrage wurde erst am zweiten Tag geantwortet und wir konnten dann am dritten Tag auschecken, beide mittlerweile krank. Die drei Tage mussten voll bezahlt werden und es gab von FeWo direkt nicht mal einen Anteil der Buchungsgebühr zurück. Zudem war die Hütte staubig und voller Spinnweben, wir mussten erstmal fegen und putzen. In den Truhen liegen von Motten zerfressene und uralte Decken, alles ist staubig und verlebt. Die Ausstattung ist insgesamt sehr mangelhaft, es gab nicht mal einen Wasserkocher. Viele Küchenutensilien (etwa die French-Press zum Kaffee kochen!!) waren kaputt. Kochen kann man dort eigentlich gar nicht. Bei der stressigen vorzeitigen Abreise habe ich meinen Rasierer vergessen. Dieser wurde trotz mehrerer e-mail Abssprachen (Austausch mit der Agentur ist zudem sehr unfreundlich) bisher nicht wie versprochen zurückgeschickt. Unter anderem deswegen schreibe ich nun diesen Totalverriss, was ich bisher noch niemals getan habe, aber es ist eifach alles zu ärgerlich.

Rustikales Haus in wunderbarer unberührter Natur.

Rustikale, romantisches Haus inmitten von nahezu unberührter Natur. Einmaliger Ausblick auf den Teide und die Küste. Tolle Terrasse mit Hängematte zum Genießen. Fahrt zum Haus ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und nur etwas für geübte Fahrer :) Kommunikation mit den Vermietern problemlos und sehr nett, haben schnell und unkompliziert geholfen! Kleine Kritikpunkte: keine Türen (außer zum Bad), starker Geruch nach Kamin, der in alle Kleidung zieht.

Teneriffas grüner Norden:

sollte man erlebt haben. Was für "Naturliebhaber", Wanderer, Familien mit Kindern. Rauhe Atlantikküste, baden an schwarzen Sandstränden oder in Naturpools an der Küste. Berge, Lavafelder. Grüne Wälder. Interessante Städte. Ruhe im Ferienhaus. Nichts für Leute in Feierlaune oder auf Kontaktsuche. Mietwagen sollte man haben.

Schönes stimmiges Haus in angenehmer Naturumgebung

Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und bei dem heißen Wetter die schattige Terasse genossen. Naturnahe schöne Umgebung mit tollen Blick auf den Teide und auch, wenn die Passatwoken es zulassen, bis zum Meer. Das Haus ist schön und stimmig eingerichtet. Bei unserem Aufenthalt waren wegen der Waldbrandgefahr leider viele Wanderwege geschlossen, zum Wandern kommen wir dann lieber im Frühjahr wieder.

Idyll am Fuße des Teide-Nationalparks

Wir wurden von Maria sehr freundlich empfangen und von El Amparo im Kfz-Konvoi zum Häuschen geleitet. Wir fanden ein sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes Ein-Raum-Haus mit sehr schöner Terrasse und großem Grillplatz dahinter vor. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist zweckmäßig, Wohnraum und separate Schlafecke sind gemütlich, Bad/WC sauber und funktional. Den Kaminofen haben wir gerne genutzt - es wurde Abends mitunter kühl (liegt auf rd. 915m). Ab Nachmittag kamen mitunter die Wolken vom Teide herab und sorgten für Abfrischung. Das Grundstück, ca. 1 ha groß, ist für Pflanzenliebhaber ein Traum. Die nächsten Nachbarn sind weit und gelegentlich, weitab, ein paar Hunde und Hühner zu hören - sonst: Stille, ein Traum! Direkt vom Häuschen kann man zum Nationalpark Teide wandern (einfach 13km, 1.200hm). Ein eigenes Kfz ist zwingend erforderlich, die durchaus steile aber asphaltierte Zufahrt ist zu bewältigen (immer auf den großen Straßen bleiben, auf keinem Fall dem Navi folgen!!!). Wir hatten einen sehr, sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt, haben die Ruhe und die Aussicht außerordentlich genossen und können uns vorstellen, wieder zu kommen!

Mitten in der Natur, mit fantastischer Aussicht

Wer einen ruhigen Platz für sich abseits der Touristen-Hochburgen sucht und keine Angst vor engen Bergstraßen hat - ist genau richtig. Das Haus ist rustikal und gut gepflegt, die wilde Natur beginnt direkt hinter dem Haus. Alles was man braucht um sich selbst zu versorgen ist im Haus vorhanden. Der Kamin hilft in den manchmal kühlen Abendstunden, wenn man nicht die Heizkörper anschalten möchte. Wir wurden von Ankunft (verspätet) bis Abreise von Erica und Maria bestens betreut. Vielen Dank dafür!

Rustikales Haus weit weg von Touristentrubel

Wir haben den Vermieter nur kurz getroffen, aber er schien, sehr nett zu sein. Check in und Checkout waren problemlos. Die Ausstattung ist einfach aber ok. Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt, nur manchmal waren die (entfernten) Nachbarn laut.

Gemütliches Haus auf tollem Grundstück

Wir haben uns in der Finca superwohl gefühlt! Das Frühstück (meistens) mit Blick auf den Teide war sensationell, und die täglich frisch gepflückten Pflaumen haben uns leckere Vitamine geliefert.

Den ganzen Tag auf der Terrasse verbringen…

… das haben wir diesmal (August!) oft gemacht. Das Grundstück ist einfach zu schön. Von Zeit zu Zeit ziehen Wolkenschwaden vorbei. Eidechsen, Libellen, Fledermäuse besuchten uns dann je nach Tageszeit. Auch bei 3 Wochen Aufenthalt wird der unverbaute Blick auf den Teide nie langweilig. Ansonsten ist der Ort ein guter Ausgangspunkt im Norden - Garachico und S. Marcus zum Baden, Puerto zum Shoppen, viele nette und günstige Restaurants und immer mal eine Wolke Abkühlung. Wandern geht sogar vom Haus aus, ansonsten sind viele schöne Routen in der Nähe. Ohne Auto wäre es mühsam, aber man muss nicht jeden Tag los - das Nötigste hat La Sabina ein Stück den Berg runter (15 Min Laufzeit/80 Höhenmeter) und Lauffitte kommen auch in gut 2 Std von El Amparo vom Restaurant wieder durch den Wald zurück. Die Küche ist klein, aber prima ausgestattet - uns hat es wieder an nichts gefehlt. Die Betten sind bequem und wenn nicht gerade 5 Tage Calima ist, kühlt es abends auch genug zum Schlafen ab. Der Kaffee morgens über den Wolken ist sowieso unbezahlbar! Wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal!
