"Despite a lack of dedicated parking, the Parking is plentiful with an NCP directly opposite. Room and public areas are immaculate. The staff were very welcoming and the cooked breakfast was excellent, less so the continental choice."

"Just a 5 minute walk into Shrewsbury centre. Ample parking in a quiet street. Check in process was simple. Room was very clean with lots of little extras, tea, coffee, water, snacks. Quirky interesting decor but clearly attention to detail throughout. Bathroom/shower very clean and comfy bed, slept right through. Would definitely recommend, 9/10."

"The room was fine a little tired with small scuffs on the wall but nothing major. The service from the reception was very good we requested a travel cot and it was delivered to our room within a few minutes. The breakfast was tasty with a good choice from a full English to fresh fruit. Where the hotel needs to improve is the spa, the hot tub, one of the saunas and the ice room were out of order. The pool was full of sand or grit on the bottom. The gents showers had bits of mold growing on the walls and around the soap dispenser aswell as the steam room tiles and light fittings. I would stay again i just wouldn't use the spa facilities unless they get refreshed like the gym recently has."

"Very quaint old building; rooms a little small but comfortable and clean; staff at the bar were really helpful and efficient; food was very good; can't fault the place, provided every thing we needed. Manager went above and beyond with his help. Also very central location. Diolch yn fawr i bawb am wyliau bach hapus iawn."

"The historic hotel, and its location make a perfect stay in Shrewsbury. Easy access to the great towns pubs, restaurants and shops. The staff are helpful and your stay will be great. My only consideration and negative comment would be the creaking ceilings. Ok it’s old and you expect that a bit. But where I was staying on the second floor - you really could hear quite a lot as the people above walked around. Ultimately this disturbed what was otherwise a faultless stay."
