"Great stay. We were only there one night but we will definitely be back. Lovely building and the rooms are huge, everything is so carefully thought out. We loved the honesty shop and breakfast, and my daughter loved the little toy area. "
"I couldn’t believe how beautiful this property is and the attention to detail was impeccable. Even the lounge area with cappuccino, latte, pastries, etc. were a pleasant surprise. It’s in the perfect location too, we walked everywhere without any problems."
"This was our second time staying here and we greatly enjoyed our stay. We look forward to returning for a third stay in the future when in Edinburgh next! "

"Bare-bones and basic but clean and afforable. The access to a shared kitchen is great. The wifi is strong, the rooms are exactly what you would expect from a dorm. The staff were kind and friendly. Good access to the buses and to the grocery store nearby. "
"We walked to hotel from Waverley Rail station was 30 min walk. Get a taxi if got cases and bags. Lovely walk otherwise to Princes street.
Can walk to town centre by side of river through Leith Gardens. Lovely walk.
Hotel staff were quick to book us in.
room was lovely, big, clean, tea coffee milk biscuits. Shower, hair and soap in bathroom.
Shower curtain was spotlessly clean. Lovely big soft towels.
We were overlooking the river which was nice.
We had a very pretty lounge next to our room.
Staff were very friendly and on hand for any questions or replenishment of room stuff. Didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment on that but smelt lovely when walking through main lobby.
Would recommend this hotel, if able to walk okay but if unsteady on feet you would need to get a taxi ( plenty about) as hotel is down a very steep curvy road from main road to hotel at side of river. "
"Lovely place. Staff where very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely too also other meals were great
Would recommend this holiday inn. My family and me would definitely stay here again. And bus stop outside the holiday inn to take you into Edinburgh and other places "
