"It was fine, probably on par overall with other hotels in this area in the same price range, but nothing special. I was hungry at 10pm and found several options nearby and the neightborhood felt plenty safe to walk, so that's a big plus. The mattress felt weird, not in a good way, and then I noticed it actually was two single bad frames pushed together with a mattress on top that felt well past its prime. The room overall was clean EXCEPT there was some weird dried splotch on the bed headboard that appeared to be some sort of human bio-residue, so that was gross and unnerving, obviously missed by housekeeping. I come to town once a month, fly in late, sleep, and then leave early for local work, so the most important aspect for me is a good bed, and this definitely was not it. The room did have a nice balcony, and the breakfast bar looked pretty good although I did not eat breakfast at the hotel so that was not an advantage for me personally. I would not be averse to staying here again, but it probably won't be my first choice either. "

"The shuttle was quick and hotel nearby, we arrived after midnight, night staff was friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable with coffee. No breakfast however there is a restaurant in the lobby. It was a good place."

"We got to the hotel almost 4 hours early and asked if we could have an early check-in — Jay was super helpful and accommodated us within 5 minutes (I know that's not always the case, but he let us know it may not be possible since they were sold out the previous night and was very nice about it). Our entire stay was perfect. The property is very well maintained, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the pool area is really cute with a ton of lounge areas, and we basically had it to ourselves anytime we went out there, which wasn't too often, but it was nice and quiet. We spent our first few nights in San Diego at the Marriott Marquis Marina, which was gorgeous and in a prime location, but honestly I enjoyed our stay here more due to the quiet atmosphere and staff. 10/10 would stay here again and we're already talking about coming back with our kids. Thanks Jay and everyone else that helped us — I'm sorry I didn't catch everyone's name but you were all fantastic and you made our last 3 nights in San Diego wonderful!"

"The property was OK. But there was an issue with my confirmation. Originally, they said they could not find the reservation. Luckly, I had the confirmation number, but it took them a while to find it and check me in. They said it had something to do with being booked via a third party (Expedia I suppose). Not sure where the problem is (Expedia, the hotel, or some place else), but Luckly they had a room. It is something that needs to be fixed."
