"The Hotel was clean well located and an excellent value for the money. I would highly recommend this Hotel. I have been traveling in the Netherlands for over two weeks and have stayed various Hotels, so far the Market Hotel in Gronigen is the best."

"Perfect location and close to Univ of Groningen. The rooms are charming as are the surroundings. Staff were an absolute delight and very helpful. Would stay again."
"Very attractive room with a large comfortable bed. Well equiped kitchen. There were a couple of faults which were addressed quickly. Some adjustments could be made - more storage, height of coat hooks and storage ib bathroom. Overall a pleasant and enjoyable stay."
"Good hotel in walking distance (15 min) to city center. The website is a bit unclear but there is no reception so you call when you are at the hotel and they remotely let you in. Which works fine.
The room is fine although you do hear the neighbors answering be you clearly.
But all in all a good choice and decent price/quality. "

"Everything was excellent. The Buffett in the morning was perfect! The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We came to Groningen to see the city where, in 1945 the war ended while my Dad was with the Canadian Army liberating The Netherlands. I have a picture of him toasting the end of the war with a local man. He was 22 at the time. The city is beautiful and friendly. "

"The welcome on arrival was both warm and helpful and during our stay any questions we had were handled helpfully and professionally. The standard room was clean and comfortable and the limited space well used. Next time I will probably book a comfort room.
We did not eat at the hotel other than lunch for which there was a menu with plenty of choice. Parking was easy and plentiful.
The hotel is situated in a park area where there are lots of opportunities for walking and cycling.
The hotel is some distance from the centre and there is an excellent bus service within a short walk and discounted tickets available from reception."
