The food was excellent, location is spot on and very easy to park at. The only thing i didnt like was how much was neglected in cleaning. Under the bed was layers of dust, obviously not cleaned for weeks.

Great overnite stay after visiting Inverness for day. Enjoyed staying out of town and going for walk before dinner by the farms. Friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed dinner and yummy breakfast and owner gave me directions for scenic route to Isle of Skye. Some of the most beautiful scenery l have seen driving through the highlands.

Great place to stay with friendly staff and amazing scenic views. Good food and a solid bar. The area has spotty cell service and internet, but that is no fault of the inn.

Was not really our scene .bedroom was too small and a job getting into bed .hadto walk sideways to get in .bed was comfy though .when booking in there was not a lot of reaction and given key and room shown where we were accommodated.no refill for tea next day and no milk Also had to out stairs entrance as down stairs was locked .dont think we would stay again .

hi this was a great small hotel, the staff were very helpful. I wanted to leave early before breakfast and they made me a bag up of sandwiches and fruit. they even had gluten free bread for me.

Brilliant.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay for our anniversary. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable gifting us a ballon for our anniversary. Check-in was easy. The room was great, very clean and comfortable....freshly decorated it was beautiful. We had breakfast every day, but one and dinner every night, but one, the food was beautiful even though they were short staffed. The staff were easygoing and friendly and gave us ideas of where to visit, the bar staff were very informative about the local distilleries and whisky. Would recommend staying here. We will be returning.

Excelent place!
Lovely place! Very quiet. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathroom/shower were great (super clean and updated). We had breakfast included and the service was amazing! Would recommend! I wish we would have stayed there longer.

We were able to secure a room for an extra night but because we had 2 different bookings, we had to switch rooms. While we were touring Glascow the staff moved our luggage. One of the staff members introduced me to my new favorite single malt whiskey.

We were interested in staying someplace less commercial and chose liked the idea of a 300 year old inn. The host was charming, the food fantastic, and the beds extremely comfortable.

Great little hotel
The hotel was really nice, all really clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed is really comfortable. There is a shower but it’s isn’t the most powerful but it does the job.
The food was amazing, good price for it

Hotel is in good condition, as was the room, service was a little slow, first arriving we had to wait quite a while after a long drive to be seen whilst staff were busy serving drinks. Main issue for me was the pillows were very thin and I didn’t sleep very well at all whilst my partner noticed some grit in the bed. Fish and chips was were very nice and manager was friendly.

Fantastic
Very nice stay. Host was exceptional, very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of freshly cooked items. The host was, again, excellent. Room was comfortable and clean with state of the art television. Overall an excellent stay and will definitely stay again.

Renovated, cosy but not 100% clean
The room was beautifully renovated, cosy and quiet. The view was also beautiful. We stayed for 2 nights. The cleaning could be a bit better. The handsoap was diluted with water so that the bottle looked full. The floor could also be vacuumed better and the mini-fridge in our room was mouldy because it was unplugged and the door of the fridge was closed. So we didn't use it. I have to be fair and honest. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, I felt comfortable in the room and I will book again in the future if I travel to the highlands.

A Decent Place With Very Comfortable Beds.
The location is easy to find being sited by the main road. The food was ok but the prices reflected this. Breakfast was very good and of a good sufficiency. The large beds were among the most comfortable that I've ever slept in in any Hotel so well done to the owner for providing such a high-quality bed. The hotel is going through ongoing renovations so expect some very minor adjustments to the aesthetic of the establishment.

Little gem in the Highlands
Had a great stay very peaceful and looked after. The hotel owner has do a great job of the hotel the breakfast was great. Definitely would recommend for a stay

We have travelled the Highlands for the past 10 days and this was by far the comfiest bed!! Exceeded our expectations for the price. Lovely cooked breakfast with an incredibly hardworking owner who could not do more for you. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we’re back this way.

First we were put in a room where someone was already set up.... then a party was organised in the room facing ours and we could not sleep before three in the morning.... no one from thé staff intervened...

I stayed here for its proximity to the start line for the River Ness 10km and availability of booking within only a few weeks of race day at what seemed like a reasonable price as EVERYONE bumps their prices up, but I did no research as if I had I might have found that the bedrooms are above the bar and not separated; I wanted an early night but it was not to be as the bar does not close until 1am. My room was also badly in need of an upgrade so the cost was clearly raised for the marathon weekend because I can't believe this would be the normal cost for such scruffy amenities. The food however was good and as the restaurant was so busy and I would have had to wait until later than I was prepared to - I intended having an early night - so they agreed to do room service for me. The staff were also very pleasant. If i was passing I might stop for food but I would definitely not stay again as a room above a restaurant / pub is not a recipe for a restful night's sleep when you need it, and the room in such condition it just rankled all the more.

This is a particularly good inn. The room was incredibly comfortable and spacious. The bed was great. Shower pressure was good. The curtains blacked out the light very well. There was some road noise from passing cars (the inn is quite close to the road), but it's not a very busy road (or at least wasn't while I was thete). Food was great - both supper and breakfast. Staff were superb. Very happy with my stay here.

Room was ok, but shower was small and no place to put anything. About 15 minutes from Inverness, ensure you have a Taxi booked since front desk does not open early. T-Mobile roaming and could not get coverage to call taxi.

Staff was very welcoming, kind and attentive. The hotel restaurant had delicious food and staff did an excellent job of suggesting beverage pairings. The room was charming and clean and the bed was very comfortable. One thing to note, the room was quite noisy, throughout the night we could here traffic, guests in other rooms moving about and an occasional sheep baaa. This added to the charm for me, but those who require quiet to sleep should not stay here. If that’s not a concern for you, a stay here is fun.

We loved this hotel. The food is fabulous at this restaurant. We had dinner there which was best we had. Morning breakfast was good too. Just not as exceptional as dinner. The rooms were clean. One room had major issue with regulating water in shower and ended up using other 2 rooms showers. One room had no WiFi. The location of room depended on if u got WiFi. One room was booked for twin beds. Nope. A double and they were booked. That’s not right. Left 2 single people sharing very small bed😣. Not good. They had a front bar and back bar. We enjoyed them both. The food was the best.

Great grub & staff, rooms are showing improvement
We were delayed in traffic so called the hotel who were friendliness personified. They understood the situation and were even happy to take a late meal reservation in the restaurant. The only complications came at breakfast when their computer system couldn't download details from hotels.com They accepted our word that we had ordered breakfast, and what a delicious breakfast it was. This is a hotel in transition - many rooms are being upgraded slowly but surely. We had a very comfortable room with a huge bathroom but the bed is almost too big, leaving nearly next to no floor space. The staff were friendly, approachable and knowledgable. The evening meal was splendid too. I'd be happy to return here if ever I come back to Inverness.
