"Hotel room had been refurbished at some point but starting to show a few niggles - bathroom door handle loose, bath room sink tap loose. Room itself was smaller than expected but adequate for our three day stay. We had a bay view room which lived up to those on the website. Restaurant only offered a three course meal for dinner which was really good value. Breakfast was a bit hit or miss - some items were only warm (hash browns kept on a plate rather than a heated serving tray). Car parking is a bit restricted otherwise parking is on the street / car park opposite which is free between 06:00 pm and 09:00 am. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and an asset to the hotel."

"The only thing this place had going for it was the parking. I don't mind old if it has character and it's clean but this place is dismal. There was what appeared to be fecal matter on the door. Our room was right beside the lobby Men's bathroom and the door slammed open and shut. Our view was at the back facing directly into a dumpster. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left early after our 1st night. Unfortunately there is no recourse because it was prepaid...lesson learned."

"Stayed 2 nights with 2 grown sons in separate private rooms. No private parking. Public metered parking is limited. No elevator and no fire safety exits. Stuffy and bit moldy. Beds were comfortable and bar underneath has great food. I would not recommend. "

"The room could’ve been cleaner but the view was amazing. Not much going on in town so it was nice to have the bar and restaurant attached. "

"Found it quite easily and whilst the door lock is as sensitive as described got in ok. Room is a good size, clean and I liked the novel catering solution. Suited perfectly for my visit. Easy parking and a short stroll down to town if steep hills aren't a problem."

"Nice staff and rooms, but the communal parts of the property are quite dated. The pool wasn’t open during our stay due to heating issues which we were emailed about a week before but by then we had already booked excursions from Isle of Mull, ferries and travelled from far so it was too late for us to change all of this and we’d loose to much money. We were also surprised that you had to book a slot for the hot tub which was cleaned every other hour and completely emptied every three days according to maintenance man- this was extreme we felt as we have the exact same hot tub at home and have had for over 20 years and we have never been told we need to empty it every 3 days! The spa chill area behind the hot tub where you can sit inside and enjoy the view is also very small and there were several people walking in and out leaving the door to slam so hard, walking back and forth all the time to check the hot tub and it made for not so “chill” of a location so I just went back to my room. One thing I would like to say though is the massages were incredible. The two ladies that work there are extremely kind and skilled. I would definitely recommend getting treatments with them as it was certainly worth the money. "
