I had a really great stay at this hotel. The place was very clean. The rooms were nice and well-maintained, with a modern touch that added to the overall experience. One of the best parts was how quiet it was—perfect for relaxing or getting a good night’s sleep. The staff was friendly and professional too. I’d definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a good, peaceful, and clean place to stay.

The bed was comfy. We didnt buy breakfest option. The room was clean except the ceiling. The TV only had 3 working channels. The kids were upset about that. The bathroom was nice. The pool and spa area was good but the pool area smelled like mold. Room clean and hotel workers were nice and helpful. I would give it 4 stars. Good overall

This hotel is very dirty and old. Everything is broken in the restroom, it is like no one cleaned it up for years. I had a horrible time staying in this hotel. The front desk and the manager are so arrogant. The room key cards kept deactivated and it has to be re-activated every day. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed ready to act quick on our report of the loose handrail in the bathroom (though no idea how quickly it was actioned as we were checking out that morning). The room was clean and the air conditioning/heating worked. The hotel doesn't have the best noise proofing, so you will hear traffic, ferry horns, etc. even on the upper floors but we were able to sleep okay. The hotel is right in the Old City, so just a 20 min walk from Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, and surrounded by great shops and eateries. The restaurants have lovely views, and breakfast buffet was nice, varied, and tasty.

Some people say a hotel is just a room to lay your head at night. Sometimes this is true but not with the Legacy Ottoman Hotel. The hotel - the staff were wonderful. Fro the moment I booked the room they went out of their way to ensure that my stay with them was perfect and trouble free. They arranged for a car to take me from the airport to the hotel and back again. And during my whole stay - the front desk, the security, the kitchen staff, the bar staff - they were all exceptional. And it’s the staff who make a hotel. The room was wonderful. Very well appointed and always well maintained in my absence. The breakfast was both well presented and plentiful. I was pleased with the hotels location too as this was my first time in Istanbul, I wanted to stay in the heart of the city. All in all this is a wonderful hotel and I would happily stay there again. And I will stay there again one day.

The hotel is decent but most of the ‘wow’ factor is in the main communal areas, such as the lobby, the spa and the lift. The rooms themselves feel outdated, especially in the bathrooms. It feels tired and worn out and there were areas where the wood has started to rot a little and there’s also slight rust on some of the fittings. Also the carpet in the room had ink stains. For a 5 star hotel, I expected things to feel fancy in the room as well as the communal areas but Legacy Ottoman seem to only pay care and attention to the spaces for external visitors rather than guests. Also, the room cleaning wasn’t great. The cleaners only replenished towels in the bathroom and didn’t tidy or wipe down surfaces etc. Again, for a 5 star hotel, you would expect a lot more attention to detail by the cleaning staff. However, the spa staff were lovely and very helpful. The spa is such a nice addition to the busy streets outside. The pool is great for family use but not for those wanting to do lengths and the maximum depth of the pool is only 1.4metres. The steam room and sauna were great and very quiet so we could relax with just our family.

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. Booked 2 rooms with at least one twin. On arrival, 1 double room was ready, 2nd was not, they promised this will be ready in a few hours as twin bed. This was not done, also the rooms were not next to each other. The hotel staff member was very rude and displayed shocking behaviour by threatening us not to contact our booking agent. If we do, then he will get mad and angry. I was told the next day the rooms would be arranged as requested, but nothing was done. After repeated requests, our children's room was moved to the 5th floor for a twin bed while we were on the 2nd floor and were told this woul be rectified next day. But they didn't. This is an old rundown hotel with rooms with no natural daylight. Even the light in the rooms is very low. Bathroom fittings are either broken or not fixed properly. Room doors shake when you check to confirm locking. This is not 5 5-star at all. Avoid at your peril. Left 1 day early from the hotel due to feeling unsafe, overall very bad experience. Although we came across guest relations staff when we were checking out, who were apologetic and wanted to help but it was too late. Disappointed that guest relations team asked us to reach out to them via email on our return home, but they did not respond or acknowledge the email. Location is great. The reception area looks good and grand. Don't be fooled by this, as the rest of the hotel is terrible. Especially our rooms.

Poor ventilation (wreaked with cigarette smoke, A/C broke (old unit tech couldn’t fix it), hotel’s under capacity ( only provided one pillow. Asked for an 2nd one and they said they ran out of pillows). Very helpful staff tried hard to make amends by providing free snacks), prompt responses (staff were at the door within minutes, consistently with each request).

Its a central place where it's easy to walk around and shop and dine. Whike the staff were doing their best there were lots of room for improvement; for example you had to remind them every day to clean your room and still somedays they forgot. other stuff happened that your key did not work frequently
