I liked everything about my stay when it came to the hotel, but I had the receptionist call a taxi for me and he ended up trying to rip me off. This has nothing to do with the hotel or its staff but I wish he had called a better and more honest taxi driver for me. Also there is no ice machine in the hotel , kept having to go down to the restaurant if I wanted ice.

Ich habe im The Yalı Konak Hotel übernachtet und eine unglaublich unangenehme und respektlose Erfahrung gemacht. Eine Freundin von mir wollte mich spontan überraschen und kam für wenige Minuten vorbei, um mir lediglich „Hallo“ zu sagen. Sie meldete sich an der Rezeption, um korrekt Bescheid zu geben, und erklärte, dass sie nur kurz hochkommen möchte. Stattdessen wurde ich von der Rezeption angerufen und mir wurde in einem extrem unangenehmen Ton mitgeteilt, dass für ihren kurzen Besuch ein „Extra-Preis“ verlangt wird. Damit nicht genug – die Art und Weise, wie das Personal dies kommuniziert hat, war beleidigend und respektlos. Es vermittelte den Eindruck, als würde man meiner Freundin eine vollkommen unangebrachte und abwertende Rolle unterstellen. Eine Person, die lediglich 5 Minuten zu Besuch kommen möchte, auf diese Weise zu behandeln, ist inakzeptabel. Ich habe die Situation sofort abgebrochen, wir haben das Hotel verlassen und sind woanders hingegangen. Diese Art von respektlosem und anstößigem Verhalten gegenüber Gästen ist in keinem Hotel der Welt tragbar. Ich kann dieses Hotel daher auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen und werde es selbst nie wieder betreten. Respekt, Diskretion und Gastfreundschaft sind hier offensichtlich Fremdwörter.

The staff was always courteous and helpful. When I phoned with a question the receptionist couldn't readily answer, she called me back 5 minutes later after researching it for me. The view from the seafront room was incredible. The bed is very soft, which I like, but not everyone agrees. There are no loud social spots near the hotel to cause a disturbance, but the elevator is slightly audible from within the room, but that didn't bother me at all either. Highly recommend!

We booked a sea view room, beautiful views. Good breakfast and polite friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and come back. Only thing, is the distance from the hotel to the Konak ferry port or bazaar is definitely not a walk you can jump on a tram which is about 3 min walk from the hotel. And 2 stops you’re there. I’d say probably a good 30 min walk and if you plan on doing shopping you’d probably be exhausted by then as the markets are huge and a lot to explore.

Rezervasyonu 1 ay once yapmis olmama ragmen otele girene kadar otelde kaldigim gecenin bir tanesinde organizasyon oldugu kesinlikle soylenmedi. Verilen oda nişan yapılan salonun bir ust kati oldugu icin gece 12'ye kadar kesinlikle uyuyamadik. Konaklayacaksanız kesinlikle resepsiyonu arayarak teyitleşin. Ses yuzunden mağdur olmayin.
