10/10 Excellent
"Compared to many other places we've stayed in Jackman, ME, this is one of our best stays! The cabin was spacious, clean, kept up and overall held up to its expectations. What they marketed was exactly what they offered. The check in process was uncertain as we were supposed to show up to an already open cabin without having to contact anyone prior. There is a check in process they want you to do online instead, once you arrive. When I tried doing this, I kept getting error messages saying my information couldn't be found. Luckily, Chris offered me his point of contact(s) over Expedia messages and once I called him, he said he would handle the rest for me and to not worry about it. Chris was friendly & offered us to visit their welcome center the next morning. For amenities: It is summertime so we didn't need the wood stove, but it was ready to go (firewood available) should we want it. There was a grill available outside if we wanted to use it. The AC was on and running before we got there. Fortunately, it was not hot the last couple days, so we didn't even need it and had shut it off on the first night. The shower head hangs low if you happen to be tall like me, but not impossible to use as the head comes detached. Everything was functional (AC, fridge, plumbing, etc.) and did not need attention in our time of stay. Plenty of towels available! This was a plus. Plenty of hooks to hang towels/bags/coats/umbrellas on. Would recommend to a friend!"

"Want to get away from it all? This clean cabin/camp with beautiful scenery, lake, hot tub, fire pit, bbq, and nearby (2mi) public lake, grocery/general store, easy hiking, and dining options within a few miles is amazing. In mid July the weather was 70s-50s in this sleepy north country town. The screened in tent on the lake was also a highlight."

Awesome house in Kennebec Valley. Dog Friendly! OUTDOOR FUN! w-Wifi!

10/10 Excellent
"The host was easy to communicate with and provided great information about the property. We were able to bring our 3 dogs and there was room for their crates which was great. The screened deck was great to hang out in on the evening. The property was close to a number of hikes that we had planned including the Appalachian Trail and it was close to the Kennebec river as well. The river was running too warm over the weekend for my husband to go fishing so we would love to come back again to do some fishing! For those of you who like the water there was a couple of spots along rt 201 that you can get down to the river on foot and if you have a boat the public launch was also along rt 201.Would love to come back again it was a cozy property, perfect location for us to explore The Forks and surrounding areas. We appreciated the amenities available in the property and the grounds were well kept."

"This was an absolutely beautiful place for our family to spend the long Memorial Day weekend. The cabin was even more beautiful in person. It was secluded just enough so that we spent our evenings by the campfire laughing and enjoying our time together not worrying about bothering anyone, but close enough to town to get anything we needed. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything you'd need. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends."
