Beautiful, quiet area. We went to get away from the crowds in Banff and were very happy to explore the area around Jasper. Maligne lake and canyons were amazing. We saw numerous elk, a bald eagle, and a black bear, all very close to the road.

We had not been back since the July 2024 fire, so were very sad to see some of the devastation of the townsite and surrounding park. We just hope that the visitors return, because the locals NEED you to come back!

The scenery is gorgeous and we enjoyed snowy hikes. The food in Jasper was great and the restaurants/hotels are starting to reopen after the 2024 wildfires. The people couldn't be nicer!

Jasper as a town is very small with a limited choice of places to eat. However, Jasper National Park (which we were there to visit) is fantastic and we would highly recommend.

One of the most beautiful National Park towns in North America. So much fun hikes, scenery, activities to enjoy. Banff to Jasper National Parks are our favorite vacation spots ever. So much to do in the most beautiful scenery anywhere in the worl.

Fun to talk around. A lot of the same stuff in shops. But beautiful walks. Very limited if you have mobility issues. Lots of walking/stairs/limited parking.

Jasper is getting up and running again after the fire and very much worth the trip. The scenery is still beautiful and will be lovely in the spring with all the new growth.
"Excellent stay here. Super location in Jasper 10 minutes walk away from the main area. Easily walkable to shops and dining. Accommodation spacious with well equipped kitchen and plenty of room for a family of 4 to spread out. Would stay again if returned to Jasper."
"Pine Bungalows is a great place to just get away and relax. Sitting around the fire pit or sitting on a bench along the Athabasca River is calming and restorative to one's soul."
"Extraordinary historic lodge. The staff were helpful and friendly. The amenities were top notch. We were upgraded to a spacious, private cabin. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the lake (very cold!) and pool. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary. An experience we will remember!"
"We only stay at Pyramid Lake now. Always quiet, clean and beautiful surroundings. Used to stay at the JPL but Pyramid Lake is as beautiful if not more so. Short drive out of the townsite, surrounded by excellent trails and scenery. "
