"Our room was clean, spacious, and had a fine view of the sea. The hosts were affable and eager to help, and the food was excellent. There is a large outdoor swimming pool nearby with a heated section that is well worth investigating."

- It can get rather noisy upstairs with banging and a dog running around
- If you are afraid of Dogs, although the connecting door upstairs oppsoite the bathroom is locked, there was a few times the dog was heard near the door.

"The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. "Excellent from start to finish, genuine friendly staff who were happy to help and share their knowledge of the area. The breakfast which was included offered a great choice which was freshly cooked. The Tavern also offered a good variety of evening meals, we found ours to be of good quality and great value for money. Excellent location right opposite the quay, nice to sit and watch the world go by and also do a bit of dolphin spotting using the binoculars that are provided in the bedroom. The whole place smelt fresh and clean, we have no hesitation in recommending this place "

"The top floor room I had was just perfect for my 2 night stay.
It was spotlessly clean, comfy bed, lovely linens and soft towels. A great place to come home to after a day of sightseeing.
The house is very quiet (apart from the Seagulls lol!) and you’ll receive a very warm welcome.
It’s close to the seafront and a 15 minute walk from the railway and bus station.

The swimming pool set in lovely semi-tropical gardens was a real joy to be in.
My only gripes were: the shower, although providing ample hot water at more than adequate pressure, was nevertheless not easy to control the temperature of; the room TV - a large good quality Samsung - was not connected to an aerial so not terrestrial channels, and Prime Video did not allow logins to ones personal account.
