"Smooth check-in process we arrived earlier than check in time but they let us have our room which was amazing. A little noisy outside so not the best for light sleepers but thestaff were extremely cooperative and answered any questions and requests as best as they could. Love that you can keep in direct contact with reception for any necessities via WhatsApp and don't need to keep making trips down to reception."

"The scholar is a nice hotel in a lovely setting surrounded by trees. I had a small single room but it worked for me for the price. Quite easy to get into Edinburgh cental from the bus stoop across the street, too."

"Great location and close to station. Staff were lovely and offered Prosecco on arrival. Breakfast plenty of choice just hate machines for drinks, prefer the personal touch being older! Only issue was the bed being too firm which caused backache but only stayed one night."
