"This house is in a fantastic location to explore everything on the north side of Kauai. The drive to Hanalei was maybe ten minutes, the shopping center in Princeville was 3-4 minutes, Anini beach was 5 minutes, the town of Kilauea was less than 10 mins. We visited near the end of September 2026, a few weeks after the hurricane, so your drive times may vary.It rained, a lot, while we were there; this house was perfect for hunkering down and reading, making meals, watching movies, and paying cards. The house is huge; we were all shocked when one of the bedrooms lead to another whole room with a small kitchen, it's own A/C, lanai, and washer/dryer. The beds and pillows were comfy, and the A/C in the main room of the house actually kept everything cool."

"Considering that the island was recovering from hurricane Lowell, the premises were in pretty good shape--they were still working on cleanup but both pools were open and the unit was very clean and had a nice layout--2 bdrm, 2bth, outdoor patio. Full kitchen with decent amenities--was not ocean view but beach was close by."

"Overall, we had a very nice stay, and the home is in a great area of Princeville. We visited in August, and the house was quite warm inside during the day. It did cool down at night, but the ceiling fans didn’t seem to move much air, so the bedrooms remained fairly warm for sleeping.An air conditioner would be a major improvement, especially during the warmer months. If you’re someone who prefers a cool, comfortable home or doesn’t sleep well in the heat, this may not be the best fit for you. That said, we really enjoyed the location and overall stay."
