"Straight away, from the outside The Beach looked inviting and the location really was perfect. On checking in, the young lady at the desk was extremely helpful, cheerful and efficient. The room was light, airy and very clean with everything you need at hand. The shower was, without a doubt, the best hotel shower we had ever used, hot for as long as we needed it and fabulous pressure behind it. In the morning, after a restful sleep, we were directed to the dining area which had views out over the bay, and the staff simply couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was supplied to order and individual - not massed produced and was delicious. Overall, this is one of the best stop-over hotels we have ever used (and we've been in a few, let me tell you) and would definitely recommend The Beach to any and all visitors to Bude. "A lovely stay in this old character filled hotel and bar. Rooms are very comfortable, ours was the deluxe with balcony and see view . The staff very friendly and helpful ."

"Staff made you feel very welcome and our dog too. The dog gift in the room. Her bed and bowls. The beautiful inn and shops. Breakfast was soo good and a sausage for our little dog. The evening meal was good value for money. Nice food menu. Not over fancy Well done we will be back "

"Lovely hotel. Brilliantly located in bude either to stay in the town and have everythinga walk away, or to get in and out of bude quickly. Food in the restaurants was brilliant, I had the short rib pappadelle and it was divine. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Will stay again! Would highly recommended."

"Great hotel , staff were friendly, rooms were clean, food was fantastic and a good little gym. Loved the vibe of the place in line with being an old prison. The in-house spooky tour in the basement was ok , but make what you want of it, probably not the best value for money but still fun/ interesting. "

"great staff - note that for check-in, you may need to go into the bar. That was the only complain - the superior room was spacious enough for the 2 of us -great staff and very accommodating for early breakfast 1 day"
