A generously sized detached bungalow with a sunny conservatory and enclosed rear garden close to Derwentwater and Keswick.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom 3: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot and highchair available on request. Enclosed, gravelled rear garden with garden furniture. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. This deceptively spacious detached holiday house has been tastefully renovated to a good standard, with a sunny conservatory, two bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor. New for 2024, the property benefits from a new ’up-market’ kitchen along with new carpets to lounge, dining room and passage.

There is free Wi-fi in the property. There are also USB charger sockets in the main bedroom and the lounge. With Chrome Cast in the lounge, you can stream from your hand-held device. All instructions on how to use this is in the front page of the visitor’s book. The pleasant village is situated within easy walking distance of Derwent Water, with all its watersports, and is only 1.5 miles walk through the fields to the popular Lake District town of Keswick. All around there are views of the mountains, from Skiddaw to Grizedale Pike and Cat Bells, with superb walking and cycling available locally (bike hire in Keswick). Shop and restaurant 100 yards, pub 75 yards.

This is our third ( or 4th) visit to Quiet ways.

This is our third ( or 4th) visit to Quiet ways. Chosen really for the dog friendly safe garden and the fact we can take 2 dogs. For the humans it's also good. Spacious clean and added bonus of 2 bathrooms and an extra loo.Love the brand new kitchen and lounge carpet.Off road car parking is such a bonus too. It's a 20 minute walk into Keswick with all it has too offer and lovely dog walk on the doorstep. We always come well prepared with food from home as there isn't a shop in Portinscale. Also bring a couple of blankets for the lounge as being open plan it can be a bit cool in the evenings Will be back again. Just a nod too dog owners please don't spoil it for other dog owners. Please pick up after your dog we always do and don't want to pick up after someone else's dog in the cute garden.

Had another lovely week in this property, not sure if this was our 5th or 6th visit. We stayed here in November with a few niggles, but was very pleased to see all what we mentioned had been mended and cleaned. Storm Ciara payed her visit while we was there but this did not dampen our holiday at all, the worst of the weather was during the night. We had some beautiful walks around the lake, Braithwaite, the Bowderstone, Stone Circles and Latrig on to Threlkeld and our not forgetting our daily trip to The Kings Arms! We had an amazing time.

We had an amazing time. Weather was great enabling us to explore the attractions of Derwent Water. Easy access from Portinscale to Keswick by car and by foot, especially for dogs. House was conveniently located, would definitely recommend and stay there again. No local or immediate shops to buy anything, such as milk and bread. Some aspects of the house were a little dated. TV and dvd could be connected via HDMI or updated to newer appliances. Upstairs bedroom and en-suite were excellent; loved the Velux windows it created a bright and uplifting room. After staying in Quiet Ways on several occasions, the property is now showing signs of wear.

After staying in Quiet Ways on several occasions, the property is now showing signs of wear. The toaster, extractor hood, a glass, blinds in the living/dining room and a wardrobe door were broken. I had to clean the dishwasher before use and a couple of the kitchen cupboards could do with a wipe inside. I reported dog mess that had been left in the back garden. Having said all of this we still enjoyed our stay and have booked to go back in Feb, but it would be nice if the above was rectified. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
