About this property

7 The Townhouses - a house that sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms

  • Styled to a beautiful high standard, the Townhouses offer you the option to stay together with friends or family in your very own private Lakeland residence. Built at the turn of the century in the vernacular slate architecture, the Townhouses are warm and welcoming yet stylish, light and spacious. The houses are tastefully stocked to make your stay in the Lake District a pleasure. Many period features are retained and sympathetically restored, including original floor tiles, fireplaces and ceiling coving. The four elegant bedrooms are spread out over three floors for space, comfort and privacy.

On the ground floor there is a spacious bedroom with king size bed, a well stocked kitchen teamed with rustic bench and seating, and also a shower room to the back of the house. Essentials such as cutlery, utensils, cookware and appliances are paired with indulgent little extras such as an espresso machine. The stylish living area is on the first floor with a real log burning stove to complement the central heating enjoyed throughout. A flat screen smart TV permits access to Netflix, Now TV, Amazon Prime (please bring your subscription details to log in to these services) as well as a DVD player and normal TV channels. Also on the first floor is the main family bathroom, and a double bedroom. Cole and Lewis bathroom toiletries are offered in the bath and shower rooms, together with fresh towels. The twin bedroom is on the 2nd floor and can be made up as super-king on request (please be aware there is a £15 charge for this service), along with another double bedroom.

High specification wifi is provided throughout for your convenience and connectivity to home. Each house has its own private outdoor area, with seating to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine at the end of the day. The restaurants, wine bars, supermarkets and other diversions of Keswick are only a moments walk away yet the quietude of the fells can be experienced in under an hours walk or a few minutes drive. Windows open onto views of Skiddaw and Latrigg to the north and to Catbells over the rooftops of Keswick to the south. Visitors to No.7 have the conveniance of two complimentary parking permits to the adjacent long stay car park. Please note the Townhouses are not available for hen or stag events.

Great house

We had a lovely stay, the house had everything we needed (including good views) and the location is perfect. Convenient for the shops, the park and the hills - this was our second visit and we’d happily come back again.

Keswick Townhouse

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Keswick Townhouse , the property itself was spacious and clean and the location was perfect . It is an excellent base for a stay in Keswick being within walking distance of everything you need. We had an issue at the property but the hosts were extremely attentive and resolved it instantly . Would definitely book with Keswick Cottages again, excellent service start to finish.

Disappointed

Lovely bedrooms and lounge Surface clean only. Great location.Disgusting toilet brushes. Fridge far too small for 8 people. Kitchen needs attention. Heating either freezing or boiling coming on at odd times one day it was -4 and didn’t come on until 9am so house was very cold. Expected higher standard for the price. Other issues too. Would not recommend or stay again unless changes made. Feedback sent to company 2 days ago with no response as yet.

Lovely accommodation for a family holiday

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Town house. We chose the Townhouse so all our grown up kids could join us - at one point we had 7 staying plus our labrador Frankie (it's his holiday really ). Fantastic location, so close to the main street. We were celebrating a big anniversary (40th) and combined with glorious sunshine had a brilliant holiday. Everything needed was there- dishwasher, washing machine etc and all the rooms were spacious and plenty of storage. We managed to park in the closest car park and the office sorted out changing over cars as family came and went. We would recommend

Family getaway

The location was perfect for us and good to have parking nearby. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms a nice size. There were a few issues that we would expected more on. When booking for a week you would expect a more substantial welcome back - not extravagant, just a pint of milk and box or tea bags etc - not a few long life sachets. The kitchen was too small for six of us, you had to move chairs around all the time and think we all banged our head on the cupboard where the crockery is. It didn’t flow. One of the chairs was unstable so we move it out of the way. The fridge was too small for a weeks stay with 6 people. The tv needs to be raised so you can see if from all seats. Lovely to have a log burner.

Lovely week.

5 of us had a lovely Monday to Friday booking at 7 The Townhouses. Everything was as stated and the bathrooms were beautifully clean and the beds very comfortable. We had to ask our neighbour for a corkscrew, they had 3! We did have a problem with the shower over the bath but this was promptly sorted out. During one night the heating randomly came on! No idea why! Otherwise all good. We would come again. It was lovely to be able to walk to all the facilities and not use the car.

Great house

We had a great stay in 7 The Townhouses - the house had everything we could need for a week, and is very central in Keswick (easy walk to all the shops/restaurants). It was easy to get to some great walks, and even the view from the lounge windows was beautiful! We hardly needed the car, so the long-stay car park permit was really useful, as well as the house being easy to get to by bus. I'm already wondering when we can go back.
