"Great location. Walking distance to everything. Nice rooms. Clean. Friendly staff. Only cons were, like most places in Carmel, there is no ac and the walls are very thin. The room gets very warm if the weather is warm. You can open the windows but you will hear everything from the parking lot. You can hear everyone’s water running, doors slamming, and loud talking. The pros far out weigh the cons and I’d definitely stay here again. Cooler times of year and bring ear plugs"
"Our little cottage totally exceeded every expectation!! A charming, peaceful sanctuary from which we could walk to downtown Carmel, drive to Big Sur, or simply relax for a few hours. We LOVED having our own personal parking space literally right outside our door. Be sure to read about the history of Carmel River Inn and Cottages--totally fascinating!
