It is retreat quality surrounded by natures tranquility, and if in the right place one can see Mt. Rushmore from the side. With binoculars you can see three of the four presidents on a clear day.

Short drive to Mt Rushmore. Our room has a view of Mt Rushmore. Nice to see at sunrise and lighted up at night.) If you need amenities (shampoo,soap) ensure to inform on how many in your party. We usually bring our own on our trips but ran out. There was only good for one person in the room and we were (3 people) staying for two nights. The door to the balcony is hard to lock up ( not latching) one has to try several times to lock it.

I liked that the property was located close to Keystone downtown and to Mt. Rushmore. We arrived in town in time to eat and go to the evening show at Mt. Rushmore. That left us time to explore Custer State Park the next day. There was a restaurant at the hotel. We almost did not get our evening meal because the whole town lost power for almost an hour. All businesses were getting ready to shut down, but fortunately the power was restored before that happened.

The location is incredible; you could see mount Rushmore in the distance, Washington's profile. Really close to food and entertainment in Keystone. My only complaint would be a lack of elevators in buildings; having to use stair really limits some people.
