I was very disappointed. I had anticipated a restful countryside hotel experience. However, this weekend at least the hotel was more a wedding/event venue (two weddings and one large party over the two days of our visit), with hotel guess seemingly the lesser priority. The restaurant/bar was full (we resorted to taking a bottle of wine to our (over-hot) room to drink. The wedding/party music went on until 12.40am making sleep difficult + I was woken up at 2.30am by loud talking/shouts as party goers departed (in the courtyard outside of our bedroom window).
If you stay at this hotel - check the the wedding/party situation + enquire about the bedroom room temperature (our two rooms were both over 30c with windows opening only a few inches).

Beautiful centuries-old property, yet extraordinarily well-renovated and with all modern comforts. Situated in its own quiet grounds, Old Church Farm provided us with a lovely night's rest after a long day of travel. We would definitely visit again.

The surroundings were stunning over looking the Bristol channel - one of the best locations i have stayed at.
The Staff were excellent and the food stunning.

"Staff friendly, room lovely, comfortable bed! Stunning bath room. One of the best hotel breakfast I have had Fantastic Value for money Highly recommend and if in the area again would go for a meal and stay if needed a bed for the night. My dog also loved it!"

"Stayed in room 212. The bathroom fan was mired with dust. There were no bulbs in the bedside table lamps. Just generally a rather tired space in need of updating. The shower hose was jetting out water where it met the thermostat. The breakfast for a bit of toast and cereal at £8.95 is somewhat excessive. ..."
