"The receptionist who checked me in was lovely. I had forgotten to request a room with no stairs and she was very helpful. I wasn't in the hotel much as I was visiting friends, but my room was very nice and the bed was warm and comfy."

"Overnight stay in Room 117, a bit of a maze to find and a lot of stairs, so if you have any disability, don’t pick that one. Room was clean, comfortable bed, good bathroom facility and quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast and Evening meal had a good selection and was nicely cooked. Made use of the Indoor Pool, which was very clean and attractive, they use a booking system so it doesn’t get overcrowded."

"Lovely hotel with beautiful rooms. Very interesting history. Handy for town , 5 mins walk, hundreds of different restaurants Lovely to have decent tea and coffee facilities in our room, with delicious biscuits. A really pleasant little hotel, very handy for the Station – just opposite. Staff are extremely friendly "
