"I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Fort Des Moine. The room was lovely - l clean, spacious beautifully appointed with nice details. The bathroom was the same and extremely well lit. The staff could not have been more gracious. A real plus were the dining options. The food was delicious and their hours of operation were terrific for both the early riser and the late diner. This will not be my last stay."

"Lovely, spacious sparkling clean room, but very strange heating & cooling system with a sign on the wall that indicated could only cool in summer. Nothing about spring and when I tried to cool at night to sleep, the temperature went up to 90 degrees! Parking signage at night was a nightmare. "

"The room and staff were awesome, the breakfast was very good in the morning. I chose the hotel for location and it was perfect. I was surprised that it cost extra to park my vehicle, but the extra cost did out weigh the convenience."

"We had an amazing stay! House is so clean and the hosts are what made it so great so communicative and even checked in to see if we needed anything. Such a great experience. The house was cute and had fun game room we enjoyed! The hot tub was awesome! We will be back! It was a great relaxing girls trip! They made check in and out so easy too. They gave great advice on local restaurants too! "

"Everything was simple. The home was clean and everything was straightforward. We're definitely returning to this location when we visit Des Moines again. It felt like we were in the middle of everything and nothing that we wanted or needed to do was more than 30 minutes away. The only thing that might be of concern to some is the off-street parking. There are, however, plenty of spots and we never had to go more than 140 ft from the front door to find parking. All things considered, I'd highly recommend this location."
