We stayed at the Bay for 3 nights before the full moon party. First impressions were good: the rooms are colorful, the location is good, the food was great, and the staff were welcoming. However, shortly after settling into our room I was moving pillows around on our bed and noticed a line of dead bugs underneath one. The staff kindly reassured us that they were from a recent pesticide treatment and moved us into a new room. If this was our only hiccup, we would have happily moved on and left the resort a 4 star review. However, the next night when we got back from dinner around 10:30 the whole resort was without power and I spent 15 minutes looking around the main lounge for a circuit breaker since there was no staff nor contact info for management to be found. The next night was the full moon party and the staff offered to schedule us a taxi for 9:30pm. However there seemed to have been poor communication between staff; at 9:45 we asked them where our taxi was and they said there was no record of us requesting/accepting the offer for a ride from earlier that same day. Finally, as we were checking out they tried to charge us for a couple cans of soda that had broken/exploded in the minibar (ones we didn't drink or even touch during our stay). All in all I would consider this resort if you value privacy and want a good location and quiet ambiance. However as far as service is concerned, you can get proper treatment elsewhere on Ko Pha Ngan for the same price.

Top notch service
We really enjoyed our stay at the Bay, the location is good with beautiful views, good value, good cleanliness and friendly, helpful staff. We want to give a particular thanks to Andy, who not only gave us great advice for our Thailand itinerary but also drove us to the pier and took the time out of his day to send a parcel by ferry when we forgot something back at the resort. He made our day! Would warmly recommend staying at the Bay to anyone passing through Koh Phangan.

Secluded and chilled
A really chilled place with its own beach and beachside bar playing soothing tunes. Decent food and good happy hour offers. There is also a pool and loungers. Ideally situated to watch the sunrise and the sunset. Lovely views. The place itself needs a bit of TLC and the room was basic but good for the price. Not really walking distance (at night) to the livelier parts but a walk along the beach brings you to lots of good bars and things so it's not isolated. Andy the owner picked us up and gave us some good tips. He and the other staff were really friendly. Just wish the bar was open later - at least to midnight if there are people in the bar. Well worth a visit and to stay.

Beautiful resort, peaceful for going to the full moon party staff were very helpful. My only concern was the door being broken on arrival, this was dealt with the next day and the smell from the bathroom smelt very rotten.

Beautiful hotel! Exceeded Expectations!
This hotel was WONDERFUL and highly exceeded our expectations! We had a villa RIGHT ON THE BEACH and the villas were so romantic being able to simply open the curtains and feel like you are on a private beach to yourself. Also, the staff was amazing! We originally booked the hotel because we planned to go to Halfmoon Festival, but it was cancelled right before our trip... we debated even going to the island since our purpose was to go to HMF, however, I am so glad we made the trip! The beach this hotel sits on is private and it is so beautiful and peaceful! Also a great place to watch the sunset. Overall this hotel exceeded our expectations and the staff did a fantastic job making us feel welcome. Also, the owner of this hotel is co-owner of HMF, so when they have the festival they provide transportation to the festival! And he said while the HMF's have been cancelled, they have been completely renovating the grounds to make it bigger and better! I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to HFM or looking for a peaceful get away! Koh Phangan has so much more to offer and wish we had more time on this beautiful island!

Would not recommend to anyone if you expect 4 star
All started that we expected a 4 star hotel with some service. As soon as we arrived we expected a reception but there was none, instead a rude old lady at the bar. There was no free pick up from the port as announced and the resort is off a massive hill that no driver wants to go down. Only for extra cash. When we arrived the room was dirty and full of ants. Shower head leaking and shower on top of the toilet. Sink was leaking terribly as well so if you want to brush your teeth prepare to get your feet wet. After 2 days of stay they served out of date food for breakfast. After my complaints the manager stop talking to us. The pool was dirty and full of leaves too. There was no room service, until you go and ask for it. As we were checking out we asked for the resort driver to take us to the port but been told that he is sleeping after the party and we need to take a cab. Of course for extra charge because no driver wants to go down the hill.

Do not stay here
This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. This hotel is not as advertised at all. We had to leave early as the conditions were disgusting and we felt unsafe. The location is in the middle of no where and there is a crazy hill you need to go up and down to access the 'resort'. The 'pool' is the size of a hot tub and is not cleaned, there is no swim up bar, no shuttle service, no breakfast, no phones in the room or room service, you cannot swim in the ocean there, no wifi (they said it was down and was going to be fixed). The room was fine but the bathroom smelled and looked like a swamp. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. I would recommend the Bayshore Resort in Had Rin.

This hotel is located in a terrible place. They only call one taxi which is rather expensive to get to town in any direction. This would be fine if the beach were swim-able, however, the water is not fit to use and the pool is small and questionable. So if you would like to sit in your air conditioned hotel room, and enjoy drinks with the staff at the lounge for your entire vacation it could be for you. However, if you would like to shop, go to the beach and actually swim in water, go for dinner, party with other people this place is absolutely NOT what you are looking for. We were really sad that we made the choice to stay here. We thought we could have easy access to the half moon party but it was cancelled so we were left in the middle of nowhere, forced to spend big $ on their private taxi service just to enjoy the rest of the island. Oh, and we learned quickly that the taxi home (other companies) were a fraction of the cost but the staff at Bay Lounge wouldn't call them for us and the wifi was not working for the entire trip leaving us dependent on them. Others that we met there left early cutting their losses of their prepaid rooms because they were so miserable.

Amazing resort with great service!
We loved everything about Bay Lounge! The service was spectacular (and that's from New Yorkers staying in Thailand) and we really loved the people working there. They booked our tours and motorbikes and did every single thing they could to make our stay a great one. Our room was simple but we loved the location right in front of the beach and near the restaurant/bar. Prices were more than usual at the restaurant/bar but they had a good happy hour and there are a few other options within walking distance. The walk down to the resort is painfully steep but most times we got rides in and out of the area. The shower is in a room with the toilet and doesn't have a barrier/shares the same floor which we weren't used to/is kind of weird but we got used to it quickly. The Half Moon DJs all stay here so that was also cool to get to know some of them before going to the festival!

Fantastic time had at the Bay Lounge and we would definitely revisit. The private beach was truly a stunning / beautiful spot that took our breath away and we had a wonderful and thoroughly restful stay there. Also Gary and the whole team on site were wonderful / kind and hospitable and made our stay a real pleasure. Strong recommendation!

Average all round but great views from resort
On arrival we arranged to be picked up from the port but our driver never came into the pick up area like all the other taxis claiming that he was not allowed in by the police and would be fined. We were kept waiting for over 40 minutes and needed to make phone calls to the hotel to get the driver to come into the port. Finally to top it off no apology from the driver or resort manager regarding this . Our room had a musty smell (from the linen). Linen and towels also had stains. Located at bottom of very steep hill - taxis charged 50 baht extra to drop you at the end of the hill. Staff not really attentive in the restaurant. Also the restaurant menu had several items unavailable. On the plus side we stayed here for 3 nights during the full moon party and if you're not too concerned about the standard of accommodation it's not too far from haadrin beach (5-10 mins). The views from the resort are beautiful and you have a small private beach in front of you. Not too many rooms so it feels very private.

Peaceful beach front hotel
This is just a good choice if you plan to have a relax getaway in Koh Phangan. A bit far from town area but you can request hotel staffs to help you rent a motobike. The staffs are friendly and helpful especially the bartender named 'chu chu'. We had a nice chat with you when hanging at the lounge.

This is a stunning place. You're right on the beach and the staff can't help you enough. A very welcoming family business. There is a steep hill coming down to the hotel but don't let this put you off as soon as you get to the bottom you will be in love! Free transport was put on to get guests to the full moon party and the hotel offer pick up/ drop off for ariving/ departing guests. Thank you Nora and family for an amazing stay.

Loved this hotel
On a recent trip to thailand we stayed in 5 different hotels wile travelling including some top luxury ones - this place is not 5 star but it was actually my favourite of the whole visit. The rooms are a little odd and not huge, but comfortable and totally sufficient. The setting is beautiful with an amazing private beach. The staff were wonderful, really friendly and helpful, the best of anywhere i saw. The bar is lovely, quite lively but not loud or disturbing, with a pool table and games available. They let us borrow a canoe for free and were really helpful in facilitating and suggesting other stuff to do. Food and cocktails were delicious and very reasonably priced. Easy to get to Haad Rin by taxi (organised by staff and very cheap). Could not really recommend this place more!

Beautiful beach and bay!
We had a very nice stay at the beautiful Bay Lounge & Resort. The room was great with a stunning ocean view; however the bathroom and sanitory could have been a little more in shape. I got an open air massage which was absolutely fantastic (can be appointed with the hotel staff in advance). The food (and especially the fruit shakes) can be recommended, very good value for price. Breakfast was just right for us with a choice between three breakfast types. The hotel staff helped us with organizing a motorbike and transfer to the pier when leaving. The friendlyness of the staff was overall fine, but varied a little bit with the single members and their daily mood. There is a very steep mountain that has to be passed when entering/exiting the hotel area, which can be quite exhausting in the heat by foot and kinda adventurous with motorbike, but worked well in the end. In the end I would definitely recommend the resort due to its beautiful hotel facilities and stunning location at the beach and can imagine to be back again myself!

We paid a little more for this hotel as we were booking accommodation for around the full moon party a little late. It has it's own private beach bay, plus a swimming pool with sun loungers, plenty for all guests. It's was lovely and peaceful and me and boyfriend enjoyed it a lot. Flood was delicious, again both food and drinks were more expensive that other restaurants, but you didn't need to leave the resort for anything if you didn't want to. It also allowed you to watch the sunset every evening. I would recommended this hotel depending on whether the budget allows.

Boutique resort with private beach. Booked for beach front room and paid in advance to be told on arrival that room was booked out. Offered suitable alternative room with refund difference in price. Considering we only booked to stay at hotel because it was beach front we were very disappointed. Otherwise very nice layout, restaurant and pool. Difficult to get transfers in die to very very steep long driveway. Not far from Haat Rin.

My boyfriend and I booked for 4 nights but extended an extra night and would have stayed longer if we weren't moving islands. We had a sea view room which was amazing, their beech was lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Food was great defo try the spring rolls, and fruit shakes watermelon and strawberry! This is a must stay resort.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach front. We had booked one of the beach front rooms which were more expensive but when we got there it was tiny so we asked to be swapped to one of the seaview rooms as they were more private and spacious, we had S2 which was a beautiful room. The only downfall would be that the bed was rock hard and could feel every spring so could not get a good sleep due to that, another was the smell coming from the toilet area which was quite awful. The hotel is very peaceful and well maintained, but it very secluded so you would need to hire a scooter which we did through the hotel to get anywhere, it is too far to walk anywhere. Good if you want a quiet hotel with nothing around, we were a bit annoyed when we checked in and they told us that the restaurant no longer does dinner and closes at 6 each night which is hard when the hotel is too far to walk anywhere, they need to mention this on their advertising. Staff were helpful, especially the young boys working their and the manager. breakfast was good, drive way would be the steepest I've seen in my life, quite scary going up and down it. I would say if you are happy to just stay at the resort and not do much its fine but otherwise it's a bit far to go out drinking etc as taxi won't come down steep drive. Beach is not swimable. Probably would stay somewhere a bit more central next time but overall a very nice relaxing resort.

Bay Lounge Resort was easy to find with good sign on road, the driveway is very steep to parking area and then another steep pathway down to resort. we were met by very friendly staff. The lady greeting us was very informative about their resort and koh phangan, she recommended places to visit. She did explain that they had some staff that could not speak English therefore if we spoke to wrong person, we may not get what we requested. She said to speak to her or one other staff member if we required anything. Unfortunately in the 6 days we were there, we never saw her again after the greeting. We had requested a room clean on 2 consecutive days, but discovered we had indeed spoken to the non-english speaking staff. However, we enjoyed the uniqueness of this resort. It was a peaceful place to return after exploring the island. The room we had was very small, but as we went out for most of the day, it served its purpose of somewhere to sleep, the air conditioning was welcome.

romantic beautifull resort
everything was just great! the staff was nice (just one woman was not so nice) there is a private beach, free kayake, great small pool, nice coctails, great view. the rooms are not big but very good- big shower and a bath on the balcony (private), great realaxing music in the room, mirrow on the ceiling, very sexy decoration. not far away from had rin-full moon- there is transfer for free from the hotel. just 2 problems: there is big hill to walk down to the hotel, and they told us that they changing the chef so the menu was low. great hotel i recommend about him!!

What a view!
This hotel is all about the view! One of the most incredible views I have ever witnessed, perfect blue water and islands from one edge of the horizon to the other. The hotel is very exclusive, with only 15 rooms. Perfect for a romantic trip with your significant other.

the hotel is 10-15 minutes from the center location but the hotel offers FREE RIDE to hadrin, to the shuttle when you leave and when you arrive. Greate staff, very nice atmosphere and amaizing view by the beach. the upper rooms has some stairs to climbe, but worth it!!! very much recomended!!!

Vi bodde i ett enklare rum längst in med väldigt fin utsikt och nära till havet. Lugnt område med vackert läge med små fina strandremsor. Personalen var serviceminded och ordnade det vi bad om. Det var god mat i restaurangen. Det var en väldigt brant backe ner till hotellet. Det finns inget 7-eleven eller liknande i närheten Ett mysigt hotell och gästerna var övervägande par när vi var där. Vi kommer absolut att åka dit igen.

6年前に泊まり、もう一度泊まりたいと思って来たが、二度と泊まらない。午前中に居るフロントのおばちゃんが、とても嫌味な奴で気分が悪くなった。まずは、ルームキーが付いている暇をカットしたか？と聞いて来た。していないと言うと、私のボスが新品に変えた。切ってないか？としつこい。何の為に切るのか、客に対しての何という態度なのか、理解に苦しんだ。 チェックアウトの際、港に行くのか聞かれたので、ブリラサコパンガンホテルに行くと言うと、タクシーを頼んでくれたが最初1,500バーツかかると言われたので、高いからいいと言うと1,200バーツでいいと言われた。なぜ一瞬で価格が下がるのか理解出来ずポケットにでも入れるのかと思い断ると遠いから最低でも1,200バーツかかるの一点張り。ブリラサコパンガンに電話してタクシー頼んだら900パーツだと言われ、今ベイホテルに居ると言うと、場所が解らないからレセプションに代わってくれと言われたので、再びあのババアに電話を渡そうとすると、解らない、知らない、と電話を代わろうとしない。強目の口調で言ってやっと代わって道案内をしてたが、電話を終わってからも、遠いから1,200バーツかかると言っている。向こうのホテルに頼んだら、900バーツだと言うと、黙っていた。 昔は綺麗でいい所だと思ったが、二度と行かない！ムカデもめちゃくちゃ多かった。

Hab das beachfront Bungalow gebucht, hatte aber nichts davon wenn die ganze Zeit Gäste und Personal über meine Terrasse laufen weil das ein Durchgang ist wie bei allen beachfront Bungalows also sehr schlecht gemacht. Die Anlage ist schön gerichtet, direkt an einem kleinen Strand, sehr ruhig. Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, es gibt zu wenig Ablagefläche für Kleidung. Von Personal her waren die meisten sehr greundlich. Die ältere Dame an der Rezeption/Bar war im Gegenteil im Kontakt sehr arrogant und abwertend. Unsere Klimaanlage ist in der Macht kaputt gegangen. Wir haben dies um 8:00 Uhr morgens der selben unfreundlichen Dame Bescheid gesagt. Bis zum Nachmittag, als wir wieder kamen, hatte sich niemand darum gekümmert habt. Im Zimmer war es entsprechend mind.40 Grad. Wir mussten dann am späten Nachmittag in ein anderes Zimmer umziehen, weil niemand mehr da war, der das reparieren konnte.

Private Anlage, jedoch mit Potential
Insgesamt eine 4, wieso? Die Hotelanlage entspricht den Bildern und zuvor abgegebenen Bewertungen. Der Weg dorthin ist sehr steil - eine unfassbar steile Straße geht in die Bucht hinunter, jedoch ohne Probleme mit Roller und auch Taxi (Tuktuk) befahrbar. Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, trägt die Koffer zum Zimmer, es gab auch ein Willkommensgetränk. Bei dem Zimmer waren wir insofern etwas überrascht, als dass es doch wenig Stauraum hatte. Sobald die Koffer abgestellt waren, war es doch echt voll. Das Badezimmer hat wohl echt das meiste Potential. Es gleicht einer Nasskammer, die Fliesen sind verkalkt und offene Löcher nicht verdeckt oder zugespachelt. Kein TV!! Zum Frühstück konnte man aus 3 Gerichten wählen: Ei, Bacon, Toast und Marmelade, oder ein Müsli mit Obst sowie ein Thaifrühstück (herzhaft). Wer mit einem Kaffee, Saft und dem Frühstück nicht auskam, musste draufzahlen für die Nachbestellung. Darüber waren wir schon geschockt. Frühstück ist eben doch nicht gleich Frühstück.... Der Strand ist ziemlich klein und wird leider nicht gepflegt. Die Algen vom Meer werden angespült wie auch schonmal irgendwelche Abfälle. Das Laub wird täglich weggefegt, leider aber nicht der Strand gereinigt. Das fanden wir doch sehr schade. Das Essen im Restaurant und auch die Getränke sind preislich voll in Ordnung. Wir waren oft in Thailand (auch in anderen Regionen und Restaurants) essen, aber so lecker wie dort war es wirklich nirgens! Also hierfür Daumen hoch!!

+ ruhiges Plätzchen +Personal freundlich und Aufmerksam +Strandtasche mit Handtücher -Unsaubere Zimmer (Kopfkissen verschimmelt,Ablage nicht gereinigt,Badezimmer total verkalt, Balkon dreckig -überteuerte Zimmerpreise -Abflüsse stinken -Toilettenspülung läuft dauerhaft -Roter Bungalow viel zu dunkel -Fenster dreckig -Klimanlage direkt übern Kopf -kein Duschhalter -Balkon Tür schließt nicht -Dach kaputt -Balkon Boden kaputt -Poolboden voller Sand -nur 3 Optionen für Frühstück

Great hotel, but take the best room!!!
Great service, the boss was on the way to town and dropped us off at the ferry. Great hotel but make sure to book the best room. Al the pictures on this site are from the best rooms. Our room needed some renovations and was a little disappointment. The best rooms with terras at the beach look modern and great. Next time we go there we will book these rooms. Steep slope to get to the hotel (be prepared:-)). But prived small beach. Small paradise

Très belle hôtel de base sauf tous ce qui est finition ils ne connaissent pas ou alors à la dérive salle de bain très salle ! Et lorsqu'il pleut de l'eau rentre dans la salle de bain par le rocher dedans . Et sinon l'acceuil est parfait le personnel charmant comme il y a 4 ans lors de notre premier séjour.

Las instalaciones son muy cómodas, la piscina excelente y se puede usar en todo horario. Estas a orilla de playa y desde la habitación se tiene una vista excelente del atardecer.
