"One of the best places to stay at in Kyoto. We absolutely loved this hotel. Staff were very friendly and greeted you every time you came down from your room at any hour of the day. Check in was very easy, amenities were fantastic, free coffee, drinks and snacks from afternoon to night were very nice. The room was also bigger than expected, very clean, quiet and one of the best I have stayed in even in the states. Area is safe, neighborhood feel, but necessities were close-by as well. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel when we return to Kyoto and only stay here when back in Japan. A lot to discover in this beautiful place Kyoto."

"The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. However, the rooms are quite small, which may be more suitable for couples or travelers who don’t plan to spend much time in the room. It’s a good option if you mainly need a place to sleep rather than relax. The breakfast is decent, offering a satisfactory selection. The staff are generally polite, though not very flexible. For example, I was initially given an incorrect breakfast ticket (each ticket is date-specific), and I had to return to my room to retrieve the correct one before being allowed entry. The location is excellent—very close to shopping areas in Kyoto, which makes it highly convenient for exploring the city. Overall, it may not be the best choice for families due to the room size, but it works well for short stays or travelers focused on being out and about."

"The hotel was great. The rooms were clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious for Japanese standards. We especially loved the bakery and café in the lobby. It was a perfect way to start the day."

"Room wasn’t fully clean when I arrived. You should note there are no windows in the hotel so natural light and seeing what the weather is like isn’t an option. Nice arrival touch with matcha and free coffee but it’s a very basic hotel. The room itself wasn’t at all clean. Stains by the toilet which meant I needed to pop a mat down as it felt unhygienic using it. A very wobbly tap sink. Stains on the furniture and walking out of your room you were treated with dirty laundry and horrible smells. It was fine for one night for the price but I wouldn’t go back in a hurry. Great as a low-budget option but cleanliness is high up for me plus having natural light. Also pictures weee misleading as it seemed there would be a bath in the room. "
