"The breakfast was good, had good options for people who are health conscious on a keto whole food plant based diet. It was very helpful that laundry was in the hotel, very convenient. The location is also very good, right next to the Kyoto Station,"

Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Ekimae
10/10 Excellent
"The Richmond Hotel is a beautiful hotel in Kyoto with an unbeatable location- just steps from Kyoto Station, a 7-Eleven, and a shopping mall with a great food hall. It made the perfect home base for exploring Kyoto. One of the highlights of our stay was the warm and welcoming staff. The hotel also offers fun cultural activities throughout the day. We had the chance to make our own traditional fans, which was a memorable experience. They also offered materials to make a glass wind chime, but we did not have time to participate- and I definitely regret missing out! The complimentary amenities were another thoughtful touch. Guests could help themselves to face towels, hair oil capsules, face wash packets, lotion packets, toothbrushes, and other toiletries. During certain hours, the dining area also offered complimentary ice cream, light appetizers, and even sake and wine tasting, which added a special touch to our stay. Our room was a bit on the smaller side- with three beds, a shower room, and a separate toilet room, but it was clean, organized, and comfortable. Overall, We really enjoyed our stay at the Richmond Hotel in Kyoto. Between its excellent location, friendly staff, unique amenities, and fun guest activities, it's a hotel we would gladly book again on our next visit to Kyoto."
