"This hotel was rated highly and priced as though it was a high end property - it is not. It is an ancient chateau remodeled into a 1970s motel with amateur carpentry. Upon arrival the manager attempted to upsell us on-site breakfast and booking a dinner reservation through her website instead of showing us to our room. Our room was surprising, as it was not attractive or comfortable. There was a giant space heater to be plugged in because the proprietor turns off the heat at night - in December! The bathroom door was an ill fitting rolling door that did not provide privacy. We were happy to check out the next day. I could not recommend this hotel."

"We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to others. The apartment is well cared for and has all the amenities you need. The location is a great base for exploring the region and Carcassonne itself. The host Mirta communicated promptly and was very helpful. There is a supermarket and shopping centre less than 5 minutes away which was useful for us. Would recommend. "
