"This was one of our best family vacations yet! Having access to Lake Gaston and the layout of the house was wonderful for our 14 member "squad." We had 3 sets of adults upstairs; 3 singles and a "dorm" of teenagers downstairs. So convenient - the kids had a refrigerator and snacks for the mini downstairs kitchen and we had plenty of room in the fabulously appointed kitchen. There wasn't one appliance or utensil we needed that wasn't there, including grill equipment; skewers, bowls, crock pot, baking sheets and pans, etc. Daniel was extremely responsive answering all my questions timely and helpfully. The dock and floats were a big hit and the provided kayaks worked out for all our watersports. My daughter brought her own board and paddled all of the fingers of Lake Gaston in our area. You can't go wrong with the amenities, location, size, layout and overall charm of this house. Best of all, the deck was shaded most of the day, enabling us to sit out without blazing sun. The sunsets were amazing. Can't say enough..."

"This house was great! The location is fantastic right next to boat rentals and in a quiet neighborhood. If you want a small drive, 30 minutes East is Roanoke Rapids where there is lots of food and a distillery. 30 minutes West there are wineries. A 12 minute drive gets you into Littleton to visit Timber Waters brewery. Food Lion is a 5 minute drive and there are several restaurants close by. I would definitely recommend this as your Lake Gaston rental!"

"We had a great time at the lake house! Perfect dock for swimming and floating with little boat traffic. Very family friendly! The views from the house are great. The host seemed to address most previous review comments with a brand new grill and cookware. We felt like we had everything we needed. Couches are very comfortable! The road near the home was not as quiet as we hoped and the backyard landscaping could use some work. Would recommend!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house! The property and location are amazing, and we spent so much of our time enjoying everything it had to offer. The boathouse, swim platform, swing, and hot tub were all used a lot and were definitely highlights of our trip. The hot tub was very clean and well maintained, the beds were comfortable, and we made so many great memories enjoying the lake.The owner was very friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.The house itself was great, although we did feel the cleaning service could pay a little more attention to detail between guests. There were some areas, particularly the screened porch, that could have used a more thorough cleaning, as well as a few smaller housekeeping items inside the home. Nothing that kept us from enjoying our stay, but a little extra attention to those details would make an already wonderful property even better.We did have a few issues with some of the amenities during our stay. The surround sound at the boathouse stopped working after a few days, and we also had issues with the living room TV and indoor fireplace. These were minor inconveniences compared with everything we loved about the property.Overall, we had a fantastic week and truly enjoyed our stay. The lakefront setting and outdoor amenities really make this property special. It was a fun, relaxing place to spend the week, and we would absolutely recommend it and would happily stay here again!"
