"We have visited several cottages but this break was for two of us so Unsliven Barn was our choice. It’s so welcoming with everything you need and so many walks for us to enjoy with our vizsla. He will be glad to go home for a break! I can highly recommend any of the cottages, they are all first class in every aspect. We will be back and hopefully to Weavers next time. Thankyou for being perfect hosts."

"Lovely house with all the facilities you can need. The house is just off the TPT so walking out to the moors or local area is perfect. The rooms were all as described and we were welcomed at the house with a friendly smile. Penistone is just a mile down the road with footpaths all the way. There are two large lounges which even with 7 of us we didn’t need, but they would be great if you had children and you wanted some time. The TV’s in all rooms were not connected at the time to the internet as the router had just been changed, but I understand this is now sorted. Otherwise no issues at all and we had a lovely few days."

"Set in a great location, 10 mins from M1, 5 mins from all facilities you need (including great pubs and cafes), yet feels like the tranquil middle of nowhere. 14 of us celebrating my 70th birthday (ii adults and three children aged 3,5 & 7) this place was perfect. Fabulous space and facilities for kids and adults alike - safe and secure - games room a massive hit, as was the hot tub and the outside area generally including the meadow where we set up and played croquet. Fabulous outside BBQ and general area for chilling and dining alfresco. Our main event was an in house fully catered dinner by Andrew Bradley - this was absolutely superb both from a service and taste experience perspective with everything cleared away for us by Andrew and his Team - could not recommend highly enough. All in all the accommodation and surroundings were absolutely fabulous - accommodation has high quality finishes everywhere and equipped beyond everything one could imagine - BOOK IT NOW!"

"Cottage was very warm, clean and inviting and decorated to a high standard. It was a great base to explore the surrounding area and especially the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. We had a lovely stay, sometimes eating out and sometimes eating in."

"The cottage was lovely, particularly the large kitchen and the outside terrace with seating. We were there during a heatwave so it was great to be able to sit outside in the evening in such a peaceful location. The walk at the back was level and shadey. There was plenty for young children in the area and we went to Canonhall farm and then on another day to the Canonhall gardens and museum. Wentworth Castle,Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Elsecar Heritage centre were all hits for both adults and children. It was good having ensuites in each bedroom. The grandparents were able to opt for the one bedroom which is separated from the other 5 bedrooms, allowing parents and children to be closer together. It is worthwhile checking out the configuration of the cottage to ensure that it suits your group. We enjoyed the catering by Andrew Bradley providing a wonderful birthday celebration dinner for 8 adults."

"A lovely cottage with beautiful features, we loved the spacious feel and the games room was ideal for the boys while the girls laid in the lovely hot tub, lovely Owners with such great help regarding walks around the area Thnkyou for a lovely stay x The only negative would be it’s very warm upstairs and need more fans in the rooms, but that wouldn’t stop us coming back at all."
