"The hotel is well overdue for a makeover, the staff, however, are excellent, although they forgot to service our room on a 2 night stay. The room was extremely disappointing, being both small & very, very scruffy. The position of the hotel is absolutely perfect for exploring Ilfracombe, if staying again will book direct with the hotel and ask for specific rooms, in all a very enjoyable visit, apart from the accommodation, the breakfast was excellent! Mark and Shirley"

"An excellent property with amazing views. It had everything we needed, fully equiped kitchen and a clean shower. The TV in the lounge has a number of apps downloaded and the outdoor area has a table, chairs and a barbecue. We loved using the hot tub and Woolacombe is only a short walk away."

"It was a great stay, nice facilities and amazing staff. The only reason I wouldn't say 5 is: - check in was delayed by an hour or so. - there was no spatula. - the hob fan and light didn't work - the microwave defrost was more like full power. - I didn't know what to do with the bins. Maybe I missed this somewhere. Would stay again"

"What a gem of a find this property was. As soon as we walked in the door we got the wow. A beautiful, clean and airy space which we could enjoy as a family and make memories together. The view was unbelievable and we could sit enjoying a glass of wine or that first cup of tea in the morning soaking it all in and just relaxing. Everything was thought about to make it home from home. The hill up is a steep one but we found Tim from Beach runner taxis and he provided us with a mini bus everyday to run us wherever we wanted to go meaning we never had to walk up the hill. We had a food shop delivered the first night which also made life easier and woolacombe itself was a beautiful place to just enjoy some much needed down time. We all agreed we had never found a more comfortable home with stunning views and we did spend a lot of time just enjoying the house, plus the extra bonus was having the weather."
