I realise that this was a city centre hotel but I think that the surroundings had deteriorated since photos were taken of the pedestrian street to the sude. There is now an extremely busy nightclub with customers to get any sleep until about 5amtalking and smoking immediately in front of the hotel.it was impossible to get any sleep until after 5 am. The staff were sympathetic but wouldn't let me move rooms until the 2nd night. It was still noisy but much better on the top floors.

A clean, comfortable hotel well-situated in the city centre, close to the Cathedral and the Tourist Information Centre, incorporating the excellent Richard III Experience.

Nice hotel, but the area that it is situated days cultural quater,, Mmmm. Very rough, and unsafe especially for individuals, need directions from carpark as we went put the door nearest to where we parked and ended up walking past the hotel and not knowing it. Bed to soft and very uncomfortably, very noisy as we had to have the windows open due to the heat as the aircon temp didnt go down below 16c.

Location was good both for railway station and city centre. We had a good view as our room was on 7th floor. The room was quite simple but enough. The bed was very comfortable and we liked the bathroom layout with walk- in shower and a good nonslip floor. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and fresh hot food. Staff very friendly throughout. Unfortunately there was a horrible strong smell in the bathroom a bit like ammonia. The hairdryer didn't work and we reported it on the first day but still not resolved by the time we checked out 2 days later.

We have stayed here a few times and have always found the staff friendly and efficient. Cleanliness and bedrooms have always been very good. However, we were a little disappointed with the breakfast this visit as the food items were not very warm and the plates were cold. The taste was good, but would have been nicer had they been hotter.
