Great place for a weekend getaway
We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The restaurant was wonderful in food and service. We had dinner and breakfast there. We walked into Nijmegen via the bridges over the weekend. Quick one stop from Nijmegen central if you want to use the train. We will definitely visit again. The room was very nice. Bed was so comfortable.

Great views
2 week stay in Van De Valk. Although not in the city centre the hotel makes up for this with peaceful rooms with fantastic views from the corner rooms. Service is great, and the staff are friendly. Would recommmend

great stay again
For a hotel of this type and price this is a fantastic place to stay. The view from the rooms is excellent due to the huge windows. Beds are large and comfortable and the showers are well pressured.

Location was perfect right at the train station, we had a beautiful room in the 9th floor with Panoramic window view of Nijmegen river & bridge. Staff was friendly and helpful, would stay there again for sure!!!

Next to Nijmegen-Lent railway station made public access and genera mobility very easy and no need of a car. Nothing negative. Excellent value and quality from Expedia offers.

We had a two bedroom suite with bunk beds. Amazing space and views. Very clean and modern. Wish there were some drawers to keep underwear and socks in. Our key cards did not work in the fitness room. We were on the 3rd floor above the terrace which was busy at times so that was awkward. Would have preferred a higher floor. Didn’t ask to move rooms as we had 2 kids and already unpacked. Restaurant was delicious. Free parking. 4 out of 5 stars.

Perfect R&R spot!
One night stay to position us for a drive to Middle Rhine area. Hotel is perfectly located on the edge of town across from a nice residential neighborhood with good food options. Hotel is new, quiet and clean with a great patio for dining al fresco.

Great place
Wonderful lunch buffet with amazing desserts. Very spacious and cozy room with everything you need and perfect view on the high floor. Free and easy parking. Location is convenient if you drive, not far from the city centre.

Best family stay
We stayed one night en route from Denmark to UK. Amazing family room, small play corner, fantastic bathroom, comfy beds and an amazing breakfast buffet (really amazing). We have done quite a few of these one-nighters and will keep this one on file and return next year.

Wonderful room in a large and quiet hotel
The hotel is a 30 minute walk from downtown Nijmegen, but right next to the Nijmegen Lent train station. The walk is a fairly nice one, mostly along a bike path that goes over the river. The hotel was quiet, the room was fantastic (great bed, bathroom and separate toilet room, fridge, etc). The front desk people were very helpful.

I stayed at the Van der Valk in Nijmegen-Lent for the Velocity 2017 Conference. I had a corner room 504 and it was a dream room to look at the cycling infrastructure. I could see busy car traffic at traffic lights, a bus lane, the train station, the car park, two or more bike paths and the bike parking at the train station. It was perfect for me as I was interested in the traffic flow and the number of bikes being ridden for transport as people rode to school, to work or just for recreation on a summers day. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable I was there for a business conference about cycling and had a wonderful 180 degree view of bike riders in the distance as I worked. The curtains could be drawn to provide privacy and enable good quality sleep when the sun was still shining brightly outside. The sunsets were beautiful from this room. It was easy to walk tot he train station and the staff were helpful with information about catching the train to the airport when I left. They have lovely bikes to hire or you can bring your own. It was an easy ride to the City of Nijmegen via the bike path on the bridge over the River Waal. I locked my bike in the secure bike parking overnight and this kept it from being out in the weather or knocked over by the wind.

The hotel was very nice, and the views from the corner rooms are great. It isn't as close to the Nijmegen city centre as I had hoped, however, and there is not much around the hotel itself.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a corner room and the view overlooked the skyline of Nijmegen. It was a truly comfortable and relaxing time. We also enjoyed its close proximity to the city- this hotel is a pleasant 25 minute walk to the center.

Outstanding hotel
We stayed in the family suite which consisted of a master bedroom with a kind size bed and a separate room for our 3 kids -- that had 3 bunk style beds. The room was outstanding -- we had zero complaints.

Great newly built hotel with amazing views!
For those of you who know the Van Der Valk chain from the 80's and 90's: this is a whole new experience. This is a wonderful newly built hotel, with great styling of the rooms and bar and restaurant areas. We were on the 11th floor and the super comfy bed faced the window, we left the curtains open all night so we could look at the lights of the surrounding area and of the barges going along the Waal river. During the day we could see as far as Arnhem. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant was great. I travel internationally frequently and wish I could have an experience like this everywhere I go. The location is good for trips into Nijmegen and Arnhem, and also has very easy access into Germany. We parked in the multistory car park attached to the hotel which felt safe, and had no extra charge. For those without a car, the Lent train station is just about next door. We felt very welcome and at home and will surely be back in the near future!
