"This was the perfect place for our group of 14, ages 3.5 to 70. We were provided with everything we needed to cook, play games, celebrate and sleep well. There was plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Just the loveliest stay! Our host Deirdre was absolutely delightful, welcoming and thoughtful. She responded quickly to questions before and during our stay. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we are in the area. "

"Screebe House is a beautifully peaceful getaway. We had a gorgeous view of the water. At night looking across the water was very little light. It was so peaceful. The food was very good with great portion size. Breakfast was included with a small buffet plus a made to order hot option. Dinner was a 2 or 3 course choice. I did an appetizer and main and walked away full and satisfied. The second evening we let them know that we were exploring and went to Kylemore Abbey and the Clifdon. We did not use the spa or pool but we did check out the pool and it was in a lovely spot (indoor and saltwater) we did go down to the pier and dipped our toes into the cold sea. There is a ladder for those adventurous ones who want to swim. I would definitely recommend the Screebe House to anyone looking to get away from it all. My only complaint is no air conditioning- but that is only because we come from an area that everything is air conditioned. But I would go back in a heartbeat! "

"A lovely cottage, ideally located to discover the beauties of the Connemara. Very calm, only surrounded by sheeps, rabbits and a small creek. Christian, the owner, and Linda, a neighbor, are helpful and reactive for any question. The furniture is nice, of local style. The washing machine and the dryer are very useful in case of a wet walking..."

"This was my favorite place to stay on our recent Ireland trip. The location in the middle of the Connemara was exactly what I was looking for. The place was beautiful and had everything we needed for a group of 6. We referenced the house guide many times for advice on the local area. It's the perfect home base for exploring the area. We went into Cong one day and did a falconry experience at Ashford Castle and went in to Galway another day. Wish we could have stayed longer. Eimear was incredibly responsive and helpful. Would love to book again next time!"

"Was situated just right to be able to travel around and visit all the must see sites in Connemara. Road was busy at certain times but didnt distract from the peaceful area. Would definitely need a car, but plenty of parking at the house and free parking available at all visitor sites."

"We took a 30th girls trip and the owners made our stay so memorable. They were so nice and were more than happy to talk to us! The property is a 6 minute walk from the beach, where we saw a seal, and along the way, we saw donkeys and cows too. We loved everything about our stay and we were sad to leave. Book now! "
