The hotel was quite booked up, so we had 2 rooms over a 3-day weekend and our baggage was transferred with no fuss or problems. Both rooms were clean, roomy and contained everything we needed, including a much-needed fan as the weather headed for a heatwave! Breakfast was lovely (we had a full English). The staff and the manager, Peter, were very friendly and helpful and made sure we were feeling happy about our stay at all times. A very nice place to stay while we visited one of our sons who lives nearby.

"A very dated hotel, took me back to the 1990s. Worn carpets and tatty around the edges, especially the bathroom. Aircon was great though! They only start serving breakfast at 0800 on weekends which came as a surprise, it probably says so on the website but I missed it, so as we needed to be away ..."
