"A cute cottage in an ideal location! The house is spacious and had everything we needed for a family vacation with adults and kids. The kids especially loved the floating dock. It’s warm during the day in the cottage as there’s just one wall unit ac but we spent the whole day outside and didn’t mind. It cools the place down enough at night, or turn it off and open the windows! The family photos and measurements on the wall were so cute. It’s definitely a place for family memories! "

"An excellent vacation rental! Super clean, tastefully decorated, many thoughtful touches like fully equipped kitchen, paper products, etc. Even wine & chocolates! The sauna was a great touch, as well as the comfortable outdoor spaces. We love to explore Leelanau, but it as hard to leave the comfort of the home. Tom & Diane were quick to respond to our questions & were fantastic hosts! "

"Owners are responsive to questions. I hate to be critical of what is obviously a family home, but the home is very outdated, and was not especially clean upon my arrival. Lots of cobwebs, spiders and spider webs, etc., and the kitchen floor was dirty.It was very hot and muggy the week of my stay. There is no AC, just fans. Unfortunately, many of the windows don't open and the screen door on the upper level doorwall does not work so we had to keep the doorwall closed.The front deck with picnic tables/umbrellas pictured in the listing is no longer there, so I thought I'd just sit lakeside in the chairs by the fire pit. Unfortunately, both chairs are rotted and cracked. Finally, since the lake is known for swimmer's itch, it would have been nice to have access to outside water. There was a spicket, but no usable hose.But overall the home is comfortable, albeit a bit rustic, Wifi worked great, view was very peaceful, and the location can't be beat."

"The older house was hotter than expected… fans worked some. mooring for boat not strong enough but boat people brought another anchor which worked great. The deck was very rough and one child stepped on an nail sticking out… deck definitely needs some attention rest all good!"

"Our family of 7 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 infant stayed for a week. There was plenty of space for all of us. We all had our own bedroom and bathroom. Great location for what we wanted to do. Near hiking trails, beaches, and various towns. About 30 minutes out of Traverse, which was fine for us. It was quiet and the people you met there were friendly. Highly recommend staying here on your next trip!"

"We loved being right on the lake, kayaking each afternoon. We shared the lake with a couple of eagles. It was so convenient to be able to run across the street and pick up a couple of delicious sandwiches from M-22 Market. "
