"We had a gorgeous stay at Bridge Cottage, such a welcome pitstop if you're walking the South Downs Way or visiting the local area. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, Miranda is a wonderful host and the location is perfect to enjoy some of the local pubs. We'd highly recommend and will be back! "

"Really friendly hosts, drinks and cake on arrival as well as facilities in the room. Lovely gardens. Breakfast was excellent. We left some stuff behind by mistake which is kindly being posted back to us. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again."

"The room was OK, but finding the hotel and finding the room within the hotel were both very difficult. They also asked for an additional card checking fee before check-in, though thankfully they waived this when we queried it. The remote check in made the start of the stay very stressful, but once we were in it was fine. There are some lovely period features in the property, but some of the paneling is actually wallpaper!"

"Everything was fine, the room quiet. well-ecorated, clean and warm and there were nice extras - orange juice and porridge oats and plenty of tea and coffee. However the en suite shower room was a tight fit for my husband who is 6'4" so we would check if there was a larger en suite another time."

"This hotel is simple but has all modern comforts with impeccable bathrooms and ultra comfortable beds. The price is right and it is an ideal base to explore the Greater Brighton area."

"The rooms are very outdated I know it’s an old hotel but the furniture in the rooms was terrible. Needed a new toilet seat as one in my room was stained and limescale same as the bath Location is good and nice when you have a sea view. Personal preference would stay in a more updated hotel next time"
"Beautiful, graceful hotel. Most of the rooms are bright and airy. Beds are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of variety. Staff were amazing as per usual. Couldn’t do enough for you. Great stay."
"Great location, comfortable room - fan supplied!
Especially like that there are helpful staff on the premises. (Not like at Brunswick Square’s hotel X.)"
