Excellent location on waterfront near pier. All of the shopping and dining right out the back door. Wonderful staff - esp Shelbie and Paul.

The only pro to this hotel is the location (seafront hotel) and swimming pool. Mould on the bathtub, sink was filthy, mattress topper/bedsheet were yellow, stains all over the carpet, and window in the room did not open. Overall, the condition (considering it is a 4* hotel) was awful and moved rooms twice. We’ve never put a bad review online before but please be cautious if you do not want to stay somewhere with cleanliness issues. To believe this Saturday, it would cost £600 for a night

For my partners birthday we upgraded from a premier inn to the Leonardo royal but honestly I don't think the upgrade was worth it. The reception staff was lovely however, the breakfast staff was not. They would rush us to finish our breakfast so they could take away our plates and multiple times would take our cutlery and not replace it even when we left our belongings on the table. We got a room facing the reception which was fine but I expected a better view especially for my partners birthday. The pool was freezing cold! There was no point of housekeeping as they didn't take out the bins or wipe down any surface? Only replaced towels and didn't properly make the bed. The only amazing thing is the location, but I don't think I would stay here again. It is fine for 1 or 2 nights but not any more.

Lovely hotel. Had a partial sea view which was nice. Breakfast was amazing. Dinner at the restaurant quite expensive. Swimming pool was also lovely.

Our stay was amazing. Our room was upgraded to a suite for my daughters 17th birthday and there was a bottle of non alcoholic Prosecco, ballon’s, chocolates and a really sweet card waiting for her which made her feel super special. The room was amazing with a view of the pier, the staff were so so lovely. I have been visiting Brighton for years and have stayed in many of the hotels there. Now I will only go to the Leonardo, it may not be attractive from the e outside but everything inside makes up for it.

Some carpeting on the 2nd floor corridors was a bit badly worn and Brighton in general was nice but i don't think I've ever seen so much graffiti in a town/city though the streets around the hotel felt very safe with some great places to eat and shop.Parking can be extremely expensive especially in ncp car parks
