Family room was quiet, spacious and clean, with plenty of tea and coffee and mugs. (Kettle would have benefitted from being a little bigger) Room was air conditioned and had a fridge. Bath and shower was good and anti fog mirror was a nice touch. We all slept well in two king beds and enjoyed the view from our room. Check in and check out was quick and stress free, staff were polite and helpful. On site parking was busy but helpful. Location of the hotel right on the sea front and close to the pier. Breakfast in the atrium was lovely and the omelette / pancake station was particularly busy. Good selection of breakfast options and the area was clean and tidy.

The room was ok, however the shower had no hand held opportunity which made it difficult to use. The windows wouldn't open, so no fresh air. The lobby was very dirty, with unwashed floors. The lobby furniture were old, shabby, and mainly stained and unclean. Breakfast was good. Room service did not answer the phone. So disappointing.

Do not book a room with a sea view on the weekend. There is a club on the beach pumping out music until 2am. You can hear every word from your bed. We had to move rooms at 1am. Staff were really helpful.

My friend and I enjoyed a mini break for her 50th. We immediately got upgraded upon arrival. The rooms were fresh, spacious and comfortable. This hotel is situated in the heart of Brighton making eating out a pleasant experience - we were a few minutes walk from the lanes, packed with restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Property is adjacent to the beach area, we had a great view of the esplanade from our room. The check-in was great, probably the friendliest one on our 20 day trip around Europe. Room was run of the mill, bathroom could do with some modernisation together with some luxurious towels instead of the heavily used ones provided.

Das Hotel ist großartig. Das Personal ist super freundlich und die Zimmer sind groß und sehr sauber. Das Bad ist modern und ebenfalls sehr sauber gewesen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Stadtseite und obwohl es draußen einige Restaurants gibt, hat man nichts davon mitbekommen. Das Restaurant im Hotel serviert sehr leckeres Essen.

We stayed at Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The swimming pool was not fully usable during our stay, which was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. Our room was booked for three guests, but it was only prepared for two. Basic items were missing and not set up correctly. Several maintenance issues were also present on arrival, including an empty handwash bottle with a broken trigger, a faulty door handle, and an iron that did not work properly. Overall, the room was not properly maintained or prepared, and the issues reported were not resolved during our stay. Very disappointing experience and not reflective of the standard expected.

There was a very rude member of staff who checked me in called “SEV” she went out of her way to make sure I couldn’t check in early even though there was plenty of rooms available, She is rude and nasty !! Excellent hotel that is highly recommend. We stay here probably once a year and have done now for a number of years. The location is fantastic. Pretty much opposite the pier and a couple of minutes walk into The Laines out the back of the hotel. Cracking views over the sea front from the front of the hotel. Handy car park underneath the hotel. Rooms are always good. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent. Think I’d struggle to justify staying anywhere else in Brighton.

No early check in or late check out. When checking in early, they said “your room is guaranteed at 3pm”. At 3pm they said your room is not ready and so we upgraded you to a sea view room. Got to the room, it’s a wall view room with one less bed.. we booked a room with two king size beds and got 1 bed and 1 sofa bed. When called multiple times, nobody picked up the phone. When requesting late check out they said “we have given away too many late check outs already “, are you kidding me?? Staff were rude and non cooperative. There are water jars at 35C which is very thoughtful but only if they have water in them. Extremely disappointed with what we got for what we paid for. Do better!
