Room smelled strongly of cannabis. Stained carpets and after booking as a pet friendly hotel we were told no dogs after 1 night. Hotel seems to be run as a kind of emergency accommodation for council services not fit for occupation in my opinion. Entry via keying in a code for street entry door and then room door - no staff on site, but available via telephone/messaging. The beds were comfortable and the fridge was handy. This could be a really good place if they just spent a little time cleaning up and fixing some things. "Sadly disappointing - cleanliness lower than expected; stains on furniture and bedding, rips in carpet, dusty and flickering light fittings, dust in wardrobe and bedside cabinets. Air con in room not working; small fan already switched on in room upon arrival. Windows could not be fully opened (understandable due to health and safety) - but some were totally sealed due to being covered in layers of paint. "Such a quaint old Welsh building in a lovely rural setting just outside of the market town of Ruthin (it is in the middle of a static caravan park but a very pleasant one). A great location for exploring the many places to see around the area . Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. "The Coach House is a lovely property with incredible views.
The property was immaculate and lots of consideration given to travellers. The welcome pack was much appreciated and Chris could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. I loved the upside down style and it did not affect the views. The house is cosy and welcoming at the end of a long day.
Chris has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
