This is my London home — a really pretty garden flat. It’s not fancy (think boho rather than Belgravia) but it’s clean, cosy and comfortable.
I’ve redecorated much of it over the past few months.

This is a colourful space that I hope you'll relax in and enjoy. I've tried to make a like a warm and welcoming friend's house more than anything else.

A brilliant base for exploring Camden, with music venues, cafés, restaurants, food shops and bars on the doorstep. but with its own quiet garden haven and just five minutes walk from the calm of Regent’s Park.

Five minutes to Camden Town tube, with buses to the West End even closer.

The flat has its own private entrance, and despite being on lively Parkway it’s remarkably quiet inside thanks to its basement setting. It also stays pleasantly cool during the summer.

At the back of the flat is the private garden, which is a real treasure — a peaceful haven away from the bustle outside.

The first bedroom is at the front (with quintriple glazing for quietness). There's lots of original art and, most importantly, has a very comfortable double divan bed with a top‑quality pocket‑sprung mattress and custom made headboard. The bathroom is next door with bath/shower, toilet and basin.

The second bedroom also has a superbly comfortable pocket‑sprung mattress and a deliciously pink custom‑made headboard. A feature is that natural light arrives from two large Velux windows - two floors above — which required I make a unique drawbridge‑style blind. There's more original art work here too.

At the back of the flat there’s a light, airy sitting room / dining area / kitchen with French windows opening directly up into the garden.

In the sitting room there’s a Big Jambox bluetooth speaker, a ceiling mounted projector with Amazon Fire Stick and a 100‑inch pull‑down screen...all good for film nights. There's more art, a big sofa to sit on and two bookcases full of books that I've collected over the years.

The kitchen is fully equipped with induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing/drying machine — and a good espresso machine and bean grinder.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Camden is one of London’s most lively and interesting neighbourhoods, famous for its music history, markets, independent shops and wide choice of cafés and restaurants. A few doors down from the flat is the Dublin Castle, one of Camden's best known pub venues. Amy Winehouse used to pull pints as well as perform and Madness played their first gig there. A short way up the street is the Green Note, a wonderfully laid back bar/ folk music venue.

Camden Town Underground station is a short walk away, making it easy to reach the West End, Soho, Covent Garden and the rest of central London.

Despite being so in the thick of the Camden vibe the flat itself feels surprisingly calm once you step inside -and the garden at the back is a lovely retreat after a day exploring the city.

As well as being so close to the Camden’s markets, music venues and restaurants, the flat is only five minutes’ walk from the green calm of Regent’s Park and a short stroll to Primrose Hill, one of London’s most beautiful viewpoints. Primrose Hill, unlike the Royal Park, is always open and the night time view of the city from the hill is always a thing of magic to me ,,,and the many others who come and picnic or just sit and gaze at this great and ever changing metropolis...

This was a very good locations for us. Close to all forms of public transportation, that took us anywhere in London we wanted to go in a short time. Camden Market was on our must do list and with it only a half mile away, we went more than once.Nick is very quick to answer any questions and ready to give recommenadtions to his favorite local stores and restaurants.If you want to enjoy London and not have to deal with the crowds all the time the this it the place to stay.

Great Location and Comfy Home

The location of this apartment was fantastic, easy access to shops and restaurants, and transport. The apartment was comfortable and well equipment. The outside garden area meant we could sit on the sun in the morning and enjoy a coffee in the sun. The big screen TV was great to relax in front off with a home cooked meal after a day of touring around London.

Nick’s basement flat was great for our family of four. Our 8 and 14 year olds shared a bed, no problem. Loved the living room with projector and big screen and the charming quiet garden out back. Good location close to Camden underground. Neighborhood is lively and loud at night, but we slept with white noise no problem. Comfy beds and all the necessities.

Great spot on Northern Line!

Perfect stay for me my and my three teenage kids - near the tube stop, night life, cafes right next door, and a whole foods for grocery shopping. Loved the living room with a projector for movies, and the garden in the back. One of our best nights was chilling at "home" in the apt eating Italian food we made, and watching Dune. Oh, and of course, there was all of London, too. :-)

If you're interested in staying in Camden, this is a good place that is very central and close access to public transport. The host takes care of the place and kept it clean. I didn't agree with his hosting choices a couple times, but he was very responsive and accommodating, especially for a last minute booking.

Nothing Short of Perfect - 10 Star Quality!

This is the place you've been feverishly searching for as you scour listing after listing trying to find the one: that ellusive somewhere, with an unbeatable location, alluring character & a kind, helpful/knowledgeable, responsive host ... all for an unbeatable price. This is that place - book it & get on with your life! The DETAILS: It's super close (5-7 min walk) from Camden Town tube stop - we have a 3yo & 7yo ... we knew we wanted somewhere very close to public transport yet also with plenty to see in walking distance (like the sunset from Primrose Hill) - the location is a dream & you can't beat it with a stick. Kids 11 & under are FREE on public transport, we got day passes & went all over London thanks to this fabulous spot. Most things are a single transfer away. If you like music you'll get to see street performers & Amy Winehouse's statue & be sure to check out the Modfather Shop if you like her style as well. Do you like to eat? Excellent, it's super close to all kinds of food options that are affordable & delicious so you never have to go hangry - grocery stores less than a block away if you want to eat on the super cheap; kitchen has all you need to cook. Place was clean & everything worked as expected. Water hot. Wifi fast. Stellar book collection. Outside garden was lovely & perfect for the kids - as was the movie screen. Nick is a gem. Kind, quickly communicative, very helpful. Just an ideal host, all around. Thank you, Nick!

We had a great little stay in Nick's property right in the heart of Camden. Communication throughout was excellent, the flat was cosy and warm which was great given we had snow the first day we arrived! The flat is down a short flight of stairs which is fine. Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Gute Kommunikation per Mail mit dem Wohnungsbesitzer, Wohnung entsprach der Online Beschreibung. Sie war sehr sauber, gemütlich, zentral und ruhig. Bis Downtown kann man problemlos laufen( 50-60Minuten). Hatten dazu noch tolles, sonniges Wetter. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Le logement idéal à 4 pour un séjour typiquement londonien

Nick, le propriétaire, aime son appartement et on ne peut qu’être d’accord avec lui. Idéalement placé, à 2 minutes à pied des marchés de Camden, il a tous les commerces nécessaires à proximité : supermarché, restaurants divers, pubs, salles de concert mythiques du jazz au rock. De plus la Northern Line de l’Underground vous connecte très rapidement aux sites touristiques les plus célèbres et aux gares de St Pancras ou London Bridge qui desservent les aéroports de Luton et Gatwick. Enfin l’implantation de l’appartement en ´basement’ avec son jardinet, vous garantit une expérience typiquement Londonienne pour 4 personnes (2 couples ou famille avec 2 enfants). Nick, quand à lui, est un hôte très agréable et prévenant. Il vous indiquera toutes les informations utiles pour accéder à son logement et pour votre séjour. Il vous propose un appartement propre et très bien équipé, avec des rangements libres pour vos vêtements. Bref je vous recommande chaudement cette location.
