The property has its plusses and minuses. The location is ideal for theatre lovers—right in the heart of Covent Garden, on a side street where there is less car traffic than in other areas nearby. There is a bar downstairs, so there is a lot of noise for the person who sleeps in the front bedroom (bring a white noise machine). We paid premium prices, so I expected premium treatment. We booked for a week; when we arrived, there were no coffee pods, two little circles of soap, no shampoo, and two rolls of toilet paper. We asked the host about this, and he soon dropped off a few rolls of toilet paper and a sleeve of coffee pods. We had to go buy soap and shampoo. These things should be standard; I don't want to go shopping for basic necessities. Complimentary water would have been appreciated (or even a bottle of wine, which other places provided as a welcome gift). It's the little things that make the experience special. We had ants in the kitchen/bathroom. The shower is horrible—the shower head does not stay in the holder; the beam makes it impossible to stand while showering; there is no place to hang your clothes (mine got soaked because the shower curtain is the size of a postage stamp); no place to lay your toiletry bag. Two months before the cancel date, we eliminated one day of our week stay. We pointed this out FOUR times & the host never responded. When I mentioned this again toward the end of our stay, he said it was too late to reimburse us.
