As lovely as shown - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Lovely quiet place to rest after busy days around London! Lots of space. Perfect amenities all throughout. Super clean and well taken care of propery!
This flat was absolutely beautiful! Tucked away and quieter than many other city locations with easy Tube access. The hosts were quick to respond to all questions and provided plenty of information in advance of our arrival and during our stay.
Perfect space for two couples with two BRs separated by a large airy living space. We walked everywhere as it is close to the Tower area. Modern, clean design so a nice place to relax!
The pictures are 100% accurate--this place is awesome! We stayed here for 10 days and absolutely loved it. Location is ideal, lots of great places to eat nearby and very close to two Tube stations. The flat would be perfect for two couples as both bedrooms are fairly large and the living space has plenty of room to lounge after a long day.
We had a lovely Christmas in London in this flat. Centrally located and very close to the tube station, this was the perfect home base for our family of four (kids are 12 and 9). Neighborhood was safe, we were worried after reading previous reviews but it was absolutely fine. Highly recommend and we are already thinking about our return trip!
An airy sunny spot so close to Brick Lane and Shoreditch. The apartment is well spaced out to provide two separate sleeping areas each with their own bathroom. The living space is comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. A great spot to visit London
It is an excellent property, but the its quality is not commiserate with the immediate surrounding neighborhood. You can see that the neighborhood is changing quickly with Amazon Fresh and a few new restaurants in newly constructed residential buildings a few blocks away. The beautiful and spacious unit has everything you need to enjoy a pleasant stay.
First visit to London and believe we lucked into the perfect VRBO. The Nant team were incredibly helpful and informative throughout and the Penthouse was perfect for us. Privacy for us when we needed and space that we could all gather as a family. Walking distance to anything you need. Will definitely try and book one of their properties on my next visit to London - couldn't be happier.
I know where I am staying on my next trip to London
It was a great VRBO experience.
Our host Edi was communicative leading up to our stay and well into it. The flat was as described, very clean and comfortable, and had superior amenities. The neighborhood had a local feel and walking distance to was the White Chapel tube station restaurants, stores, or anything else we could have needed.
And an extra special thanks to Edi for the flexibility on allowing additional visitors on very short notice.
This is a very clean and tidy property. The kitchen and appliances are modern and spotless and well provisioned. The bedrooms are nice and clean. Unfortunately it was a summer when we were there and there is no air conditioning. However we shut everything up during the day and opened up in the evening to allow a cool through breeze which was nice. The area is lively and funky and fairly close to public transport. Probably the only significant drawback is the 3 flights of narrow winding wooden stairs to get to the property which makes heavy luggage a challenge.
We were pleased with size and location of this flat. Everything was clean and worked as promised. The flat was in walking distance of Spitalfields (where we ate several meals), a couple of grocery stores, and two convenient tube stations (Aldgate East and Aldgate). I would stay here again and would recommend this flat to anyone.
This is a very cool place to stay! It’s like a movie set in its exact instantiation of a comfy and classy penthouse apartment in an old and interesting factory warehouse. And while the neighborhood initially seems “gritty,” it is in fact a lively, upscale, college and professional neighborhood that is both multicultural and rich in great places to eat and explore. We had a marvelous time here with old friends walking the neighborhood and larger river areas of London and heading to great musicals in the evening.
Consummate professionalism. The space lives up to (and surpasses) the listing photos. Clear and thorough welcome instructions.
Stocked with everything you need for a home base. 5-10 minute walk to multiple underground stations for fast access to all that London has to offer!
Many thanks for a fantastic, stress-free week.
Excellent Flat within a 10 min walk to the London Tower Bridge
Absolutely gorgeous holiday in the United Kingdom. Our flat was within 10-15 min walking distance to the London Tower Bridge, Four Seasons Tower( highly recommend booking an appt at the spa or hair salon or just getting a nice glass of French white wine ), the Algate East Tube, White chapel Tube and Tower Bridge Tube. Was nice to be able to wash and dry clothes in the flat. The peppermint tea each morning before our day out was quite lovely . Excellent communication with the hosts! Quiet and safe area. The decor inside the flat is gorgeous ( British term for excellent ) . I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be close tower bridge area. Lots of great places to eat, and local markets nearby to get a quick snack for the flat. The breeze feels nice with the doors and window open . It was nice to not worry about traveling with shampoo conditioner or a hair dyer as that was provided . You’ll need to bring a plug in outlet ( I donated mine for the host to have avail in their beautiful home ).
Three sisters stayed here. The penthouse offered everything we needed with no extra clutter. The bedding was exceptional, the blackout curtains insured beautiful rest. The washer/dryer added to our extraordinary comfort. Edi stocked the kitchen with coffee and a French press for an immediate caffeine fix. Then a 3 minute walk to a charming Columbian coffeehouse for more fuel. Hermanos Coffee also offers pastries and sandwiches. Several evenings, we hung out at The Dog and Truck Pub across the street.
Above all, we enjoyed the folding wall of windows to the terrace. From the balcony, we could see the tip of the Shard lit like a Christmas tree and watch the full moon drift by.
Thank you Edi and Sam for a perfect, exceptionally relaxing, week.
Friends of our's have been coming to this beer festival for the past couple of years, and this year they invited us along. The festival is held at Tobacco Docks (Wapping), so we found this VRBO nearby, in a neighborhood near White Chapel, with a bar (Dog and Truck) and a coffee shop (Hermanos) just up the street. The vibe of the VRBO is quite good, especially with the sliding doors that essentially open up the entire south side of the apartment (really nice in the summer!). Despite being on the top floor, you don't get much of a view aside from the adjacent neighborhood buildings.
The layout of the place is a long, shotgun-style box. It seems ideal for two couples, with bedrooms at either end, each of which has its own bathroom. One bathroom is "en suite", while the other is shared with the main living area (you have to walk through the living area to access the bathroom). In between the bedrooms is a large, open "loft-style" kitchen/eating area/entertainment area with plenty of room for everyone to relax, chill, eat/cook, watch TV, listen to music, etc.
We're all in our late 50's, but trying to stay in shape, so the lack of an elevator was not an issue for our still-functioning knees and backs. =P
Overall, it was a an excellent place for the four of us, and we were able to get around town just fine (plenty of tube stops in the area). I'll be checking on availability for next year's trip! =)
The interior of the property is amazing. Full kitchen and a washer and dryer, which were essential for our trip. The open air options for the living area and bedroom work great. Check in and check out were very easy. There are a lot of steps, but we found them easy to navigate and there are landings every five or six steps. The neighborhood is in transition to more modern living but we never had any issues. There is a local Irish pub called the Dog a block away that was a great hangout spot for us with amazing meat pies.
