Room was clean with the basics provided, including cosmetics in the bathroom, it was perfect for our needs. Air conditioning worked well but the tea / coffee was lacking milk, only two little cartons for two people for a 20 hour period.
Great stay this hotel is perfectly situated next to Romford Station, the rooms are modern, clean and simplistic but effective in design. This is deal if you just need a place to sleep but doesn't have space to work. Its a modern walk in shower (none of the old bath in shower), slow release toilet seat, sensible sized open bin, great water pressure and temperature and 4 pillows on the bed.
Wifi was strong, food was nice and reasonably priced. Its a perfect hotel for overnight stays or a few nights if you need the basic amenities.
Natalia at reception was very helpful in getting us a slightly larger room.
We were extremely happy with all aspects of our stay. The location was excellent
This is a beautiful hotel! It’s new and very clean and is in a prime location. You are literally right at the Romford train station on the Elizabeth Line. You can also walk outside and be walking distance to shops, restaurants and even a shopping center. The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom mirror had the lights behind it and not above it so it was like putting my makeup on in the dark. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
On this occasion I had a room with a window which made so much difference!
It really is a very good and comfortable hotel with good amenities in a plumb location.
The unmanned ground floor entrance is still a bolt hole for undesirables to break from the weather and skanks logging onto the wifi for free!
So therefore I can’t give it 5 stars just yet.
Pleasant stay. Modern clean efficient. Great location for centre of Romford or station. A little worried about parking but free on street parking nearby from 6pm to 0830
New build hotel Spark would seem to be ''Hilton light'' basic clean suitable if all you want is a place too sleep. The room was small in that there was about a foot of space around the bed leaving little space for luggage, it would feel confined if a couple were staying in the room. Good location next to the railway station and town centre nearby. Would use again if in the area.
Wonderful service nice and modern and very attentive staff. The rooms are small but the location helps as your super close to everything and aren't there really.
The hotel is in a great area with lots of shopping and dining within walking distance. The rooms are small but perfect for a solo traveler. The staff were friendly and super helpful- from helping me get dressed into an outfit requiring extra hands to directing me to stores. Would stay again.
Staff were excellent - very attentive and helpful. Very clean & tidy. Rooms are compact, but great location across the road from the Lizzie Line directly into London
The room was rather small but I was a solo traveller so was great for me. Very nicely decorated and clean, shower room was beautiful, lovely pink wash basin! Receptionist was friendly. I got off the Tube and the Hotel was right next door, perfect
What can I say! Without question the most comfortable nights sleep outside of a 5 star hotel, in a hotel I’ve ever had! Super clean and ascetically pleasing on the eye.
Location was perfect for the railway station, the high street amenities.
Bit of a strange entrance but hey ho!
First time staying the a Spark hotel and am amazed! I wish there were more! Really friendly greeting when entering the main door and was shown to reception to check in. The rooms are beautiful, a really comfortable bed and no outside noise. Spotless throughout the room. Breakfast was an added bonus with a friendly and helpful team.

Disliked: Staff & service
Chaotic
The staff did their best but the system was playing up and it took a good 20 minutes to get checked in while they tried to track down the manager. About an hour after I had checked, some random person let themselves in to my room. They had been checked in to the same room. Management didn't seem bothered when I mentioned this at the front desk. Shame because the front desk staff were really helpful.
Good -Check in v easy, staff smiling and friendly. I didn't notice any street noise despite being in busy town centre(although I was at the back of the hotel) . ASDA just downstairs for supplies. Good number of sockets/USBs. Towels nice and fluffy and bath towel a good size. Bed comfortable. Shower powerful.
Neutral - HUGE TV for the room size (I didn't use it, but if you like watching TV, I'm sure it would be great).
Bad - Room was tiny. Standing at the end of the bed there was barely enough space to fold clothes without knocking my arms against the TV (and I am a short, small woman). Tiny worktop space too small to put a laptop on and use a mouse, so had to balance laptop on my lap in bed and use a book as a mouse mat. Bathroom bin had no lid - women using sanitary products would prefer a lid. I initially thought that the grout in the shower was meant to be a greyish colour, but then spoted that it was uneven and there were a few places where it was obvious that it had started off as white. (no mould though).
Overall Premier Lodge/Travelodge would give a larger room for same price. It was fine for one night, but for longer stays the shortcomings would be less tolerable.
The hotel had a nice feel to it. Nicely decorated and well kept. Issue we had is it was not practical for our needs. 2 people in a room where the bed is up by the wall on one side so whoever got that side had to literally climb over to get out of bed. This wasn’t great when one is disabled and the other has an injured arm. Lights in bathroom did not work in bathroom at night without having to turn master which turned main lights on. Unpleasant smell when first entered like someone had used the loo and not used any air freshener. The bathroom door is also not suitable as it doesn’t provide privacy. Ok if you are on your own. But as a couple, had to stay away from the spaces beside door and frame, but can hear all. It’s more like a shower cubicle door. Parking was interesting. No car park for hotel itself but local parking right round the back for shopping complex which allows overnight parking. Make sure you sat nav to the car park and not hotel as that sent us in circles and in the dark was very frustrating. However there were some great points. Bed was really comfy, clean and room was peaceful with no outside noise heard considering its central location and by a tube station. Easy check in at desk and check out. Friendly staff.
