"The hotel is just across this street from the train and bus station, which made it very convenient on our arrival by train from Oslo. This hotel and our room were impeccably clean., and quiet. The staff were so accommodating. If only US hospitality was this good. We has a Superior King so our room was reasonably sized, and the bathroom actually had some counter space. Like most European hotels, ice is a rare commodity, and we would simply ask the bar for a bucket of ice and they would happily provide one. All of the desk staff served as wonderful concierge’s when asked."

"Perfect for pre-cruise stay. Minutes from scenic buildings and popular restaurants and the entrance to the fortress is in the hotel's driveway! Walk to dock is less than 10 minutes with relatively smooth paving. Plentiful included breakfast. Free coffee in room and lobby (plus restaurant). Very comfortable bed and good blackout shades."

"Really enjoyed stay- staff, service, spa and breakfast were great. Located in tourist hotspot but actually very peaceful. Main negative was - although room was lovely to look at, it could have have been better laid out to unpack 2 suitcases and hang clothes etc. we were there for 4 nights. also- free spa access time was restricted for hotel costumers which seems a bit odd."
