"Had a lovely long weekend here! House was really comfortable and clean and had everything we needed (I don’t think I’ve been in a holiday cottage that had sharp kitchen knives before!). Lots of good recommendations for places to go in the village as well. The only downside is we had to go home!"

"I purchased for my parents and they had a lovely time. The staff were extremely accommodating and my parents were very happy with their stay. They did say the matress had a big dip in it, but apart from that, it was an excellent stay. Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast provided was lovely! Staff were exceptionally accommodating when I rung them and asked to pay for my parents dinner, which was brilliant. Very pleased! I’m going to book again for myself. 😜"

"Good car park. Spoke to 2 staff that was polite and decent. Helpful with information on bike and walking routes. Smelt a bit like dog wee at the entrance also a broken drain pipe. Bedroom doors slammed shut so could possibly wake u up. All in all fairly decent. Didn’t have breakfast. Got the room for £85 wouldn’t want to pay much more for it tbf. No aircon"

"Truly a magical experience. This was the last stop on a busy 9-day adventure and the perfect place to relax and refresh. The gardens and grounds are gorgeous, the beds are very comfortable, bathroom and towels are luxurious and the breakfast was exceptional. The staff were so kind and helpful. We hope to return someday to this romantic gem."

"A great place to stay over for our two day trip touring the Peak District. Clean, comfortable accommodation and well equipped. Fantastic food, evening meals and breakfasts. Super helpful and friendly staff. Stunning views across the valley from the upstairs terrace and from our rooms. Would definitely visit again."

"Excellent location close to the centre of Dore village, which combines its village charm with essential facilities.The house has 3 excellent sized double bedrooms, the single bedroom is small with minimal space to move about. There are also two sofa beds on the ground floor in good sized rooms. Whilst there are 2 separate toilets, there is only one shower/bath set in a very spacious room.The kitchen is well equipped and has ample storage space.Great views towards Blacka Moor! An ideal location to visit friends or family and explore the nearby Peak District."
