"Fabulous little place, in an idyllic location. Whilst the accommodation is basic, it is charming and has everything you need....including kitchen and bathroom facilities. The addition of horses, pigs, and chickens and ducks on site was a bonus, and being greeted by the farm dogs every day was lovely. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating (we had to change our dates at the last moment) and are really friendly. Definitely looking forward to staying again."

"To start with, no check in information was sent to me before I arrived. When I arrived I couldn't get hold of the owner as he wasn't answering his phone and didn't have the curtesy to reply to the several messages I left, both in the form of answer phone and text. I had to contact Hotels.com via the online chat. Eventually one of the owners employees phoned me and said he would come and let me in. Once in the property, things didn't really improve. "The horses cab was very cute and well designed, spotless and cosy.Very relaxing place, the views of waking upIn the morning with the horses are amazing. Also have pigs, a little pony that is very friendly and trots around in the open. Owners were friendly polite and very helpful on call with anything you needed help with. Even had a lovely wood fire whilst watching the stars. Recommend highly for a relaxing weekend break. Will be going back forSure. Thank you"

"Convenient location close to M1 (but not too close). Great car park (with several EV chargers) surrounded by trees. Huge reception with comfy sofas. Great check in by polite and efficient staff. Good size room with masculine decor. A little worn around the edges but very clean. The extremely firm bed suited us. We liked the views from the 4th floor (there were lifts). We used the hotel to break a long journey. The restaurant was slightly pricey, but our food was good. We didn’t stay for breakfast."

"A great getaway hotel with plenty to do and Derby and the Peak District in easy reach. Pros: The Suite with the Balcony was a lovely spacious room, comfortable enormous bed, all the facilities you'd want and a very large bathroom. We made good use of the pool and gym and both a very well maintained and enjoyable. The hotel atrium is such an inviting space with bar and restaurant both lovely and easy to find. Parking is great too, and again access to the main road is close but you still feel firmly out in the countryside. Cons: the Air Con was a little baffling and just wouldn't come on the whole time we were there. The room itself is a bit dated, but that's kind of charming in it's own way."

"Really nicely appointed hotel and very comfortable. There is plenty of parking You are offered a good choice for breakfast and it is very reasonable. Downside, it does not do evening meals so you have to make alternative arrangements. Fortunately there are quite a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Great that you can take your dog but they are not allowed in the large breakfast room and you are seated in the lounge on a sofa with a coffee table. Bizarrely the reason given is the dog would be too close to the cereals, kitchen etc . It would be possible to seat you at the back of the room about 30feet away from the cereals and kitchen but where you are in the lounge you are only 10ft away from the cereals and the kitchen!"
