"Located just outside town around 20 minutes away from literally everything you could possibly do in fun and site seeing. Directions to the main town are very easy to remember and the reason I say that is my personal phone service (Xfinity)was very sketchy at times which like most people that use their phones to navigate. It was annoying but manageable for me as I did all the driving. We are in our 60s and the ladder to the bed upstairs was a little more difficult but manageable. The main cabin was always warm when you walked in due to good insulation imo but you would expect this that far north in the fall. The amount of labor required is unthinkable and this man built it himself from scratch as laborer myself I have a deep respect for people like Wayne and what he accomplished here. His machine investment to cut raw trees must’ve saved him a ton of money. The ground was littered with cool little animal trinkets and many bird feeders and the birds were just amazing in beauty as an attraction.Blue jays were everywhere . The TV list channels were a little to be desired though. But they are working on WiFi boosters but for the most part we were putting on an average 10 to 12 miles in steps so we were exhausted at the end of the day. The bed was super comfortable all and all better than a hotel imo when it comes to peace and quiet and visually pleasing. We would recommend it to any couple as getaway. A hot tub would’ve been absolute bliss for our brutal walk day to day. "

"Apartment was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Parking was easy and neighborhood walkable. Check-in took a couple of minutes to figure out as a first-timer -- you have to go to the restaurant and talk to the friendly staff, who direct you to the property which can be a few houses away."

"My family and I spent a week at this beautiful Lakeside Retreat and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The weather co-operated for the most part too. Communication with the host is excellent and a homemade apple pie left for us was so thoughtful. Everything is at the cottage that you could possibly need and a great location. Comfortable and clean and lots of space for a family of 6. I would highly recommend this cottage and would love to stay again. A side note, there are lots of rocks at the beach, so beach shoes are highly recommended."
