The apartment is renovated from an old attic located in an art nouveau building. The owners have transformed it into an elegant attic equipped with all comforts. The décor is characterized by the right balance between modern and old that makes it friendly and allows you to enjoy a pleasant stay for all your needs.
The apartment overlooks the famous medieval walls that enclose the old city, within walking distance and easy reach on foot or by bicycle.
It consists of two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living room with adjoining kitchen and a loft with a sofa bed.
It also comes with free wifi internet access, satellite TV, DVD and air conditioning.
The kitchen is fully equipped and linen service is included.
From the apartment you can reach the city centre in just five minutes walk.
It is walking distance from the railway and bus station (200 m).
The apartment is easily reachable from the motorway and has a public car park nearby with charging station for electric cars (distance 100 m 8€ 24 hours). It is currently free until December 31st.

The most famous villas of Lucca can be reached easily by car and represent the pearl of our territory (Torrigiani villa, Villa Grabau, Villa Mansi ...).

At just twenty minutes away are the beaches of Verisilia. In addition to Viareggio, famous for its carnival, Forte dei Marmi is a Mecca for lovers of shopping and nightlife.

Those who prefer to relax and want to get away from the bustle of the city, Montecatini offers spas.

The art cities of Pisa (17km) and Florence (75 km) are a must for anyone staying in Tuscany.

This place is amazing! Just a warm cozy unique place. The location is the best right across from the beautiful walls of Lucca! I would recommend this place to anyone! This is a perfect location for a couple or family visiting Lucca. The apartment is beautifully and completely furnished. The landlady Renata is charming. Her recommendations were fantastic! There is documentation in English for all guidelines (recycling, etc) which is mandatory. Parking is very convenient. The location just outside the walls made visiting everything very easy. Would highly recommend staying! We will visit again.

The apartment is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful city of Lucca, it’s only a 5 minute walk to get into the city through the walls. The apartment is a lovely place to stay, really well equipped and has a lovely ambience. Lavinia met us on arrival, even at 11pm and was very helpful. I would not hesitated to stay here again or recommend it.

Wonderful stay at Lucca!

It was our 5th stay in this beautiful apartment. The apartment is beautiful decorated and furnished. It is well equipped and very clean. You can reach the historic Lucca wall and the historic center in a short walk. The hosts are very gentle and helpful. We enjoyed our holidays very much. Thanks a lot again to Renata and family. We hope to come back soon.

Great launch pad

Super location for access to Lucca and to branch out north or south throughout Italy. Stayed 7 weeks with multiple family groups and lodging served our purpose perfectly. Host and her family all were great, helpful and knowledgeable and made it easy to stay. Only reservation, and this was circumstantial was noise of the location due to proximity to road, work within and next door to the property and at the end preparations for upcoming comic-game huge convention. Even so I would stay there again.

Short break in Lucca

The apartment is brilliantly located just outside the city walls, but within a very short walk to the nearest gate into Lucca. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. Communication with Renata was fantastic. She was very helpful before we arrived and met us at the apartment - so warm and friendly :) She was on hand with questions during our stay, and her daughter kindly helped us with taxis. I would highly recommend the apartment and we will come back.

Amazing host!

Location perfect, just a quick stroll down from the train station, short walk into the walled city (across the street). Walk for groceries, dinner and sightseeing. Host and her family wonderful! (Special thank you to Valentina for helping our grown kids experience fun in Lucca!💕) There are a lot of stairs to get in. If you are unable to do that, this is not the location for you. But for everyone else, stay here!!! Probably favorite vrbo ever!! Thank you Renata!! Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!

Lovely apartment in great location

We loved staying at this very comfortable apartment in beautiful Lucca. Renata and her son met us on arrival with a lovely homemade cake. They were very welcoming and provided lots of useful information. The apartment was perfect for our family of four, it was well equipped and in a great location with easy access to a public car park (if needed) and a short walk into the old centre of Lucca. The train station was a 10 minute walk and so visiting other places such as Florence and Pisa was simple to do. We had a fabulous time and would gladly stay there again if we return to the area.

Excellent base

Really spacious and well equipped apartment. There were only two of us but there was more than enough room for four. It was only a five minute walk to inside the city walls and having parking was great as we had driven from Umbria. Whilst staying at the apartment though, we didn't need to use the car at all which was wonderful after a lot of traveling. Renata and her son met us at the apartment and were so helpful. They also gave us lots of excellent advice and tips. Highly recommended.

Best location for Lucca

I cannot say enough about this property. The host family are awesome and sooooo accommodating! They helped us the entire trip organizing tours, getting around town, getting lost, and an amazing property with 2 bedrooms, two full baths with modern shower etc, and loft sofa bed, fully stocked kitchen appliances, full guide for city written by host with everything you need to know and get around Lucca. The location is literally across the street from the walled city entrance. The bathrooms have hair dryers, flat iron, hair products, beard trimmer, heated towel rack, great air system, coffee pot which is rare, and we cannot say enough about our hosts. My travel partner got lost behind the wall when trying to parking the car (which is literally one block from apartment) and our host hunted for her for over an hour to get her safely back. Those round abouts are complicated ! Any way we cannot praise this enough with only draw back was it is on 3 rd floor of beautiful building with no lift (elevator) … now don’t panic like me cause their Dad or brother will carry your bags up and down for you … we were traveling for a month so we had big bags and are in our 60’s so we’re over whelmed by stairs…. Now if your are handicapped or have cardiac issues this is not the place for you …. Otherwise look forward to buns of steel after staying there for 10 days !! And great new friends with the host family!

A wonderful base to explore Tuscany from…

Renata and her family were wonderfully welcoming. They showed us the apartment and gave us guidance on places to eat, visit and how to get around Tuscany. They were warm and kind. I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful and spacious apartment a short walk from the heart of stunning Lucca.

Absolutely Perfect

What a perfect apartment! We loved our home away from home while in Lucca. Renata was so helpful during check in (her husband even helped with our bags), giving us great recommendations and helping us book a table for dinner one night. The apartment is probably the best vacation rental we have stayed in. Super clean, well stocked and so stylishly decorated. Location was outstanding - close parking for the car and right across the street from the historic center. Would absolutely stay here again and can’t recommend it highly enough for others.

Our stay was very nice. The location was easy to find and close to so much. A small challenge was, the host needed to be there to give us the keys, not a code, so we had to arrange a specific check in time, it worked out ok. The apartment was on the top floor of the building so a number of flights of stairs to get there. Our host was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment and in Lucca. Would highly recommend.

Casa Emma and our lovely hosts in Lucca provided us with quintessential Tuscan experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our four very special days at Casa Emma- a beautifully appointed and extremely well maintained historic property directly adjacent to the old walled city of Lucca. Our kind hosts were warmly welcoming and extremely helpful without being in any way intrusive. They assisted us with suggestions for a lovely bike tour around the walked city, a glorious Puccini concert in the nearby Oratoria, a delicious locally sourced dinner at Buca di Sant'Antonio, and with arrangements for the most incredible cooking class with a marvelous local instructor, Silvia Guerrini. They ensured we had everything we needed for a truly memorable stay. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time in Lucca, and can't wait to return to Casa Emma!
