"Hotel located between Karlplatz and Marienplatz which is the tourist hub. Grayline excursion and Hop and Hop off buses you can catch right in front of the hotel. The room was clean, AC worked, no fridge in the room. During nights lots of homeless people hang front of the building, it was noizy. Hotel itself is very different from ordinary hotels I used to stay in Canada or USA. In the same building, 6 stories, doctors office, physio and hotel rooms. I was not even sure if it was the right place initially. It was confusing how to get inside of the building because the front door is always locked and i needed the fob to get in. The self check in machine located inside on main floor. I was lucky that some guests were exiting and I could get inside. The self check in machine located in the main hallway and on 2 floor, the machine was freezing and I had to call many times the guy to help me. In conclusion, I would stay in a different hotel next time."

"I have been coming to this hotel every year (apart from Covid years) since 2009. It is a perfectly good 3 star hotel. It would probably rate a 4 star if it had air con. But the ceiling fans do a good job keeping the rooms cool. I am 85 years old with mobility problems. The location is ideal for me - the main railway station is opposite and there is a tram stop directly outside the hotel. It's only 4 tram stops - a ten minute journey - to Marienplatz in the heart of the city. It's an easy walking distance for most people. The area can be very noisy with a busy road and a backpacker hostel nearby where youngsters like to congregate after midnight. So guests susceptible to noise should book an inside courtyard room during hot weather when they might need to open a window. The front rooms are quiet when the windows are closed. The cheapest single rooms are basic but adequate. Anyone needing a walk-in-shower should mention it when booking. The worst thing about this hotel is the breakfast. The food is ok - the usual fare. But they don't serve black coffee! German coffee is usually good. This stuff comes from a machine and the milk is premixed. I tried the tea. A good choice of teabags but no boiling water - just warm water. A disgusting brew. Warm water is ok for coffee but we British expect our tea to be hot. I will certainly use this hotel again - but I will avoid the breakfast. There's plenty of other cafes nearby where you can get a decent cup of black coffee."
