"Our experience at Cocoon Hotel was disappointing from the moment we arrived. When we got there at 1:00 PM, there were more than 15 people waiting in the lobby, which is quite small. None of the staff even bothered to greet guests or provide any information. A simple acknowledgment or update about the possibility of early check-in would have gone a long way. There was also luggage scattered around the lobby, even though it was supposed to be stored securely in the lounge area.We were only able to check in much later than expected. The room was supplied with just one medium-sized towel and one small towel per person, both of very poor quality and barely absorbent. To make matters worse, they forgot to provide the second set of towels even though we were two guests. When we complained, we were told that the hotel had no towels available and that they had to borrow some from another hotel. We finally received them almost two hours later. There was also no shower gel or shampoo in the room. A member of the reception staff had to search for supplies so that the containers could be refilled. The room itself was poorly maintained. The lighting was extremely dim and the tissue box was completely empty upon arrival. The A/C barely cools the room. I understand that the hotel promotes an eco-friendly concept, but guests pay a considerable amount of money and should not have to accept such poor service and inadequate facilities."

"It is not the best location Curtains in the room do not cover all windows There is not parking/ drop off in front of the hotel There is not phone in the room, so if you need something you need to go to the reception You can hear everything from the upper level Can’t sleep if you are sensitive to noises like the metro since it is located in a very busy street"

"There was an issue with water supply which I was not made aware of at check-in. So in the middle of having a shower having arrived at the hotel after midnight, I suffered 3rd° burn when the cold water supply ran out. The check-in after midnight tinted my stay at the hotel staff member was less than helpful or enthusiastic. Appreciate it was late at night but it’s still a very tired traveller coming into a five star hotel and expected the standard to be five star. When I was asked a check out how my day was I did explain the above and got no apology or any gesture from the morning staff. I stayed at this hotel a few years back on a trip to Munich and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful at the time. I judged my experience this time against that bar."

"Room was clean, shower ok, bed was comfy. Area was a little ropey with large numbers of males standing around and staring at two females on their own. The door to our side of the hotel kept being left open by the takeaway below by showing a heavy weight in front of the door which made it feel a little less safe. the smell from the takeaway below permeated the room constantly and we were on the 3rd floor! Whilst not unpleasant (garlic and onions lol) my clothes and hair smelt of same in the morning :( Ok for a brief stop if you just need to get your head down for one night, didn’t feel comfortable walking around in the early evening to find a place that wasn’t a kebab shop nearby…"
