Don’t miss the Prosecco Welcome and the hotel owners talk on the history of the local area and Abbeyglen Castle itself. It was absolutely fascinating, occasionally humorous and brought everything to life. The owner remembered our names from the moment we were introduced. Very rare! I’ve travelled globally for business 2 out of 4 weeks for the past 15 years. I’ve stayed in some fantastic hotels around the world. Our stay at Abbeyglen castle was the most personal and best customer experience I’ve had anywhere."

"We had a fabulous stay for a special occasion. The front facing suite with balcony was blissful in the beautiful April sunshine. All staff were excellent! They were so helpful and courteous. I would not hesitate to return and certainly hope that one day I will be able to."

"I was really disappointed in this property. The place was difficult to find, the building in ill repair (I tripped twice trying to get up the alley), carpets dirty and staff only available for new minutes. The walls were paper thin and we could hear our neighbour's toilets flushing. The shower door in our room was broken. There was no breakfast or at least we weren't told of any. Perhaps it is under new management? Skip this place."

"Superb unique castle hotel in Cong which is a short walk. Highlight was without question the boat trip on Cong lake which is truly magical. "

"Amazing hospitality. Something with the heat needed to be replaced and it was done right away. They were incredibly kind. I’m not sure I will go that far west again as it’s so far from things; however, I would recommend to anyone and everyone with kindness. The property is well maintained, clean and roomy. The only negative thing I can come up with is that the living room is very small with all the furniture but that is the only negative thing I could say and that’s more of just my opinion. Check them out and enjoy the area. It’s breathtaking especially at sunset."

"Great location in Cong. Close to everything. Parking wasn't a problem. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. The only advice is that they don't have an elevator/lift. If you're on the second floor, you will have to haul your luggage up a narrow flight of stairs. Also, like most places in Ireland, no wash clothes. "

"Laundry was clean. Bar was pretty average. The staff were not working with much to be honest. "
