"Our stay was unfortunately disappointing. Upon arrival, the walkway to the apartment was dirty, and there was a dead bird near the front door, which created a very unpleasant first impression. "Very enjoyable stay , staff very friendly and food was excellent. Only gripe I’d have is in relation to room cleaning. When we arrived back in the afternoon on both days the room had not been cleaned, even though we had been away for over three hours each time. This impacted on our relaxation on return as we had to vacate the room to allow cleaners in. Cleaners stated they are understaffed and were finding it difficult to clean rooms promptly."

"Lovely three-night stay. I must say every single member of staff we dealt provided excellent customer service without exception. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The furniture was a little tired looking and the fridge made a lot of noise but they’re minor points. Breakfast was fantastic; freshly cooked. Had a great pizza and burger on one of the evenings. The leisure facilities were also great; enjoyed the pool, sauna and steam. The hotel is very conveniently located in Westport town centre with an array of restaurants, bars, cafes and shop just a short walk away. Great to be able to park at the hotel free of charge too. All-in-all an excellent stay."

"We have been coming to Connemara for 34 years, and this house is in the perfect spot for us. Not only do you get gorgeous views over the tranquil Betraboy Bay, but on the other side of the bay you can see Roundstone and round to the east, the Twelve Pins mountain range. The house is impeccably designed so that all the communal living spaces are functional and spacious, while somehow managing to fit in five spacious bedrooms where you can be tucked away with some quiet and privacy. It really is a functional house for a large family gathering. The house has an abundance of options when it comes to different facilities, from washing machines and dryers to dishwashers and ways to dry out beach kit. There's plenty of garden space for kids to run around, has good Wi-Fi, everything you could ever hope for when booking a house for a week. On top of that, John and Mairead were incredibly helpful and courteous, quick to respond with any queries we had. They really made us feel at home. Some people in other reviews have mentioned that Glinsk is a remote area, and this is true. It's definitely as asset. This is why you can enjoy local beaches, walks and mountains without the hundreds of tourists that are now flocking to other parts of Ireland's coast. There are plenty of shops and coffee shops nearby - within a ten-minute drive you can get all the basics, but Clifden, just 30 minutes away, has all the big supermarkets where you can get everything you could ever need. Highly recommend."
